Yep. Mob rule allowed the human race to move out of caves and forests and do things like build civilizations.

Thank you for proving you don't know anything about history.

Mob rule is what was seen in the French Revolution. Civilization was started by a few individuals that other people then congregrated around, it wasn't started by mob violence and mass hysteria (unless it was individuals getting together to stand against the mobs).

People who get together and set up a political systems, a legal systems, public infrastructure, etc... are examples of mob rule? It's clear you despise the democratic system we live under. Stubborn refusal to set and abide by a common set of rules and share resources in a fair and balanced way is infantile. It's the way a selfish bratty toddler behaves in the sand box. Waaah! Mine Mine Mine!

No, you really don't understand history at all.

Democracy =/= Mob Rule

The American Revolution wasn't for Mob Rule, we had a set of core principles, we had an established command structure in our Continental Army. We were not engaged in mass looting, rioting, etc. In fact the kind of behavior in the UK would have gotten the person shot in the American Revolution by their own superior officer.

Quite frankly I am more pissed off than you could ever imagine. Legal taxation is not stealing. It is a social contract. Get that through your thick skull.

True and false.

"Legal taxation" serves a useful purpose TO A POINT.

The problem is that eventually, government (run by a select few) pushes changes to the tax code, which everyone else is never involved in and rarely understands. They just get hit up for more taxes.

In time, this "legal taxation" becomes armed robbery of every person in which you have little to no rights and your "representation" is a joke.

Even the federal "income tax" (US), was proposed as a "temporary" measure. I think we've long past it being a "temporary" tax in our lives.

And as to "social contract?" The courts have ruled that the state owes no duty to the citizen that can be enforced (this came from a lawsuit against a municipality for not doing what was commonly perceived as its "duty"). So, if we're forced to give loyalty (and money) to the state but they are not obligated to do anything for us, there is no social contract. It's just "thugs with guns."

I hate to break it to you but who do you think runs the government right now? who do you think benifits from the laws and policies they pass? that is right the 1% who is sucking everyone else dry...the economy gets bad and what does the government do start pumping money into big buisnesses that the already very rich profit from more than anyone else.

I am saying you do not have the authority to tell me to give you money that I have earned from my own labors, if I choose to do so fine, but you do not have a right to it.

The same thing that is wrong with slavery, or are you saying slavery is okay?

Oh dear god, yes to expect the wealthy 1% to feed some of this wealth back into the economy is SLAVERY! it don't matter if they have five houses, 50 cars, two private jets, a few nice boats ect.......its slavery I tell you!

If the wealthy decide to donate to charity, that's their business, and in the US the wealthy often choose to donate lots of money to various charities that they know will manage the money better than Government when it comes to helping the needy.

You have no right to tell a rich person to pay for your new pair of shoes.

I think you already said that exact same thing....and I belive I already responded. So go back and respond to my response and wile you are at it maybe you can find some of the other things you missed such as

How the hell have I given up?........If I had given up I would be freaking dead or in a mental institution for trying to make myself dead. Sorry to get blunt and all but why in your right mind would you think an appropriate response to a description of someone who forces them self to go on day after day and pass their college courses wile constantly fighting off a hellish mindset and sucidial thoughts is "Unlike you I have not given up." What the hell is that huh?

quit being a damn coward and explain to me what you're point with that was.

Go back and read my post in the context of how ruveyn responded to number5. I was being sarcastic in case you didn't notice. Ruveyn clearly rejected the building blocks of modern civilization (presented by number5) as "mob rule" and you mindlessly agreed with him. It seems to me that it is you (and ruveyn) not me who is calling democracy "mob rule"

No mob, just good old-fashioned cooperation. Like families that work together. There's no I in team. We're only as strong as our weakest link. That sort of thing.

And yes, I'm a she. Thanks marshall.

I have never said you should give me YOUR money, I said I support taxes going to public services that people need. I do not see taxes being used that way as stealing.

DO YOU OPPOSE TAXES?

It is kind of important you answer that question so i know whether or not you think taxation is stealing, or if you think I am claiming to support something other than taxation?

1. You are sitting here blaming rich people for your situation.

2. You aren't taking responsibility for yourself.

I have a part time job at a college bookstore, do you have any idea how stressful that can be to someone on the spectrum. Granted I want to find a full time job, which isn't likely with the economy in the toilet, but you don't see me running around blaming my employer for the bad economy.

I am hardly blaming all my problems on rich people....and considering my mental problems have prevented me from holding a job and even make college a major struggle this is not so much about me. What I am saying is many perfectly capable individuals who do work still cannot make a decent enough living to support themselves or their families.......and yes those who have physical/mental disabilities, illnesses or disorders are also hurt by this because it means less resources and aid for them.

I just don't see how people can defend this 1% who is sucking the majority dry when the poor and low class is growing, the homeless and unemployed rate is growing and basically those on the bottom are being left to find a way to fend for themself or maybe die.

And I take responsibility for myself........I am going to college, I do what I can to cope with my problems so I can function well enough to do well in college and maybe go for a degree. I am also going to apply for medicaid again and hope not to be denied but if I am I will try and find other resources to help me maybe get the correct diagnoses...what else am I supposed to be doing at the moment?

Also, I am on the spectrum to you know, and did have a workstudy job so yes I know how stressfull that can be....I also know how stressfull that is when you have Major Depression, anxiety problems and PTSD on top of that which I also have. Point is I am really doing all I can in my current situation......while trying not to give into suicide so when someone throws that all out the window and claims "I have not given up unlike you." it is not only ignorant but down right nasty.

For Inuyasha "taking responsibility" means becoming a right-wing conservative like himself. Clearly, anyone who dares to point out how screwed up the world is is only thinking of themselves and feeling sorry for their own situation.

If that were true, why are there so many wealthy "successful" people pointing out the exact same problems? Even when doing so might go against their own economic self-interest?

I have gotten over feeling sorry for myself....well except on the days were the depression decides to drag me down so far I see no way out then it is hard not to feel a little bit of self pity. But I kind of have to take responsibility anyways no one else was ever really there to do that for me anyways. Hell I even had to take responsibility for things that were not true.......like I had to admit I was purposley just being rude and selfish and apologize even if I had no idea what I had done wrong. But enough of that I am doing my best with college and would like to maybe get involved with some of these issues that bother me.
