Well, that's a really good point.
So many Black women go on Oprah to complain about the shortage of acceptable Black men. On the low end, lots of Black men are incarcerated. On the high end, lots of economically-successful Black men are getting themselves White woman. Now, here is a Black woman who got herself a White mayor for a husband.
The story of the Black journalist who wouldn't marry the White senator because she was afraid of hurting his political career just seems so pathetic. Very magnanimous, but very pathetic.
