That is, indeed, a poofy afro. Some right-wing columnist recently got into trouble for saying that couples like this one 'make conservatives nauseous,' or something along those lines.

I actually had an afro like that when I was younger.

I like mixed race people and think it's great. It doesn't bother me if they promote it. It doesn't really matter anyway.

When talking genes and eugenics, race mixing is kinda irrelevant. Why do I make such a statement? Based on people I know, naturally! I know plenty of fair skinned, blue eyed people with a negro grandparent or with enough Native American ancestry to make it on a tribal role, thus getting a check from the tribe and other government benefits. Unless they mentioned it, you would never in a million years guess they are anything but Caucasian. So from that standpoint, it doesn't matter as much. Whatever genes are the majority will win out anyway and the further north you go, with less sunlight and vitamin D, the lighter the skin becomes through the generations anyway. The ones who are the most affected as far as offspring are concerned are the immediate generation following the interracial marriage.

Let's say someone has one parent with darker skin (could be mixed, also) and one with very fair skin. This person could have fair skin and the same eye color as the fair skinned parent (most people just assume a child from such a couple is destined to have dark brown eyes, dark skin and hair.) A set of genes from the fair skinned parent could meet up with a set of the same type from previous generations of the dark skinned parent. When you first meet such a person you think they are Caucasian, after you get to know them, you find out they have what you consider parents of different races which is a rather deceptive concept in itself.

Next you are going to hear about Caucasian guys insisting their Caucasian girlfriends get their eyes surgically altered to resemble Asians.

It appears that, in the Northeast of Thailand, the majority of women would prefer to marry a White man, because of our "wealth, faithfulness and respect for women." I wonder where they get the last two from? Maybe because retirees who move to Thailand no longer have the energy.

From my experience, most Thai men are very nice and respectful (granted, I didn't experience them as a woman). Some are bad, but unlike in America, Thai women don't typically seem to have a fetish for bad boys. Not really a part of the culture.
