The Democrats though once they installed themselves back in power in 2021 had no problem outsourcing all powers over the vaccine and it's rollout and sticking people to Bill Gates, in a parallel of the kind of power, perhaps, that Elon has been granted with DOGE. Bill Gates is way more of a F-ing weirdo and psychopath than Elon, in my opinion, and the Democrats have and had no problem letting Gates be their guy in this sort of way.
I would say though if DOGE ultimately keeps it's mission to doing things like cutting the genuine government waste like the USAID that's been paying for crossdressing dancing shows in Finland and Ecuador, and ending this kind of "soft power," and the money gets returned with large cheques to actual US taxpayers; then the Democrats are going to be in a whole host of Trouble for the 2026 midterms and the mission of this will be incredible. On the other hand though, if all this is and was truly just like the old Heritage Foundation schemes back when the Republicans were the Controlled Opposition patsys and this is about going in there and cutting Social Security and getting grandmother's check and finally cutting this, then the Republicans are well and truly done and the Democrats will just get power back without even trying.
Musk is completely unelected, and has not received any confirmation from congress, making what he and Trump are doing illegitimate. Musk is absolutely no different from a Russian oligarch, using his power that he gained by helping
Trump win reelection to enforce his anti-democratic agenda.
The Republicans and Musk have made their plans to end social security, medicaid, and medicare well known. What they hadn't anticipated has been the popular opposition to this.

So, when exactly was Bill Gates shadow president in the way that Musk is?

Crimea river..... Trump has the right to appoint whoever the heck he wants, regardless of how much liberals dislike this person. It's almost like liberals think that Kamela won and that they get to have their agenda instead.
There's no more particular "popular opposition" to Trump at this current point then there has been at any point since Trump's advent into politics in 2015. If anything, there is much less. Trump just won the popular vote in the last election, which is something that if I recall, people said would NEVER happen again for the Republicans, thanks to "shifting demographics". Everything for the Democrats at least as of now is certainly going in the wrong direction.
To me, the "protests" against Trump seem more anemic than ever, just casually observing... although I think at some point maybe in 2027 or 2028 or so, the real big strikeback or blowback from the big system will come with something built around something like a climate change lockdown, but they are just biding their time until then and right now stuff like the women's marches and crap woke protests look absolutely paltry, and they are just keeping their powder dry.

DOGE has never been legitimatized as a government agency by congress, and Musk had never undergone confirmation hearings by that body. There is zero oversight for Musk, which is something required by the constitution.
As for protest against Trump: to quote your country's megalomaniacal tyrant, Napoleon: Never interrupt an enemy when he's making a mistake. Right now, Trump, Musk, and the Republican congressional majority are certainly making tons of mistakes. Other than using the courts to thwart Trump when they can, the Democrats are sitting back and watching Trump self destruct.

All this stuff about "sitting back and watching Trump and Musk self-destruct" is the most wishful-thinking/grasping at straws shite, so far, that I have ever seen.
So far, I have seen absolutely NOTHING that that the Democrats and the old Establishment, in their current constitution, with their people like Karmela, have learned anything at all from their old mistakes, or are willing to change their ways at all or will do anything differently or will reform in the slightest. Even Napoleon's enemies, by contrast, like Archduke Charles and Von Blucher and such, eventually started learning and whipping him around a bit.
If they're mad as well about DOGE and Musk "not being confirmed" or whatever; what approval did any of these liberals have at-all for any of the covid-response extra-legal cutouts that all-of-the-sudden just started appearing and were reading everyone their rights, and making everyone's lives miserable ? All this stuff popped up literally overnight. There was absolutely no process for any of this, even though constitutionally there should be. So like I said, they can cry me a river. There's so many things and all these Federal Agencies like the FAA they just appoint and there's nothing in the Constitution, but they only get mad and pretend like bureaucracy is a problem when it's Trump doing it.

The Democrats have been in a powerless position before, as have the Republicans. It always potentially changes with each election. Nothing new to see here.
There is no comparison between Musk and the response to the Covid virus. Fauci and others had been confirmed by congress, and vaccination policy is sound. Musk, on the other hand, has no official verification, and has taken a shotgun to government which has proven to be illegal when presented in court, and short sighted with many fired federal workers rehired.
The status quo of the Democrats and traditional Republicans in fact is proving to have legitimacy lacking by the MAGA camp, as citizens are ready to lynch representatives collaborating with Trump.

Ridiculous; there's a ton that happens that the Executive branch doesn't have to run every single thing by Congress, nor every Executive order. Trump can just appoint Musk to power with an Executive Order or action, and it goes until Congress can muster up the power or will to stop it, which they won't, because it's Republican-controlled probably until 2026.
I certainly don't care anyway, as back during Covid the Democrats and Democratic governors were blatantly shutting down churches and such assemblies in blatant violation of the First Amendment; freedom of religion and freedom of assembly - but now they want to cry about THIS ? Boo-freaking-Hoo
All these liberals are absolutely deluded as well if they think these Town Hall Voter demonstrations are actually legit. All these are fully coordinated and are all Democratic voters being organised and paid to show up to heckle Republican congressmen by MoveOn and these other cutout groups. These are not real at all, and the Republicans and MAGA know exactly what's going on.... I think though the more the Democrats and liberals and Deep-State keep doing these silly tactics and not actually changing their ways, the more defeats they are just going to keep suffering for these same reasons.

Those Democrat governors who advised churches be closed did so for health reasons. My own congregation, and most others, had no problem with it as church leaders like our pastor did his sermons on line. Only a small, right wing evangelical following objected.
Deep state????
Yes, those protests at town meetings are legit. The claim that they are organized by the Democrat party (or even the deep state) is what's illegitimate. Do you seriously believe American citizens would sit by idly as their social safety net was cut from under them? All this proves is that Trump and the MAGA cult cares little for the welfare of the average American citizen, because it's those Americans who are speaking out at those town meetings.

^ And again it's unconstitutional to ban the gathering of a religious congregation, regardless of how much you happen to temporarily agree on banning its meeting because of the demands of fashionable politics or the fake virus you've been frightened over by CNN.
The religious congregation has to be allowed to meet, absolutely regardless of how much it's going to allow a virus to spread... same for a political assembly, otherwise wannabe political dictators could use such excuses to shut down Democracy indefinitely and maintain a one-party state.
And if you seriously think the vaccine was "sound policy"... that's just "Strike Three, you're out ! !"... (LOL)... absolutely hilarious that Fauci got included in all of Biden's brain-dead pre-emptive pardons (also including Biden's own son), especially if Fauci "did nothing wrong."
I've seen a ton of evidence that all these stupid Town Hall protests are fully coordinated to shout down all the Republican congressmen and are being organized by the groups like MoveOn and Indivisible to get the rabid Democratic partisans there to shout and do the usual tired Alinskyite tactics. On this front, there's nothing to see and everyone's been seeing through this trash since the early 2010s and is not falling for it. They're way too coordinated and scripted and all happening against the same level of politicians to not be such. As of now, I'm in full agreement with what Musk and DOGE are doing, and I don't think there's any kind of significant defection from MAGA back to ridiculous woke-Liberals within the middle of the American public as of yet.

You're not trying to suggest that any amount of organization behind the protests at town halls would make those protests and the motives behind them invalid, are you Htaxu3?

Every protest is organized in some way for a good cause by people who are sick of losing the things they rely on that Republicans are now stripping away at a much faster rate.
If it were in my hometown and people were protesting to save social security, I'd join them because I rely on SSDI to have a source of income.

Totally not true, and again the fake and dishonest rigged narratives from the Democrats and Deep-State that have now led them to being in the minority, vis-a-vis Trump of all people.... there are some earlier quotes from Elon and Vivek where they said they were looking for fraud in SSI so they could return more money to rightful recipients. It's actually up in the air if anyone that's a legitimate person will have their actual benefits cut. If they keep all this to legit cutting of waste like shutting down USAID funding both sides of stupid ethnic spats in Bosnia for soft-power, then I'm all for this.
It's like I was getting at though, the Democrats are horrendously unpopular and are now squarely hated beyond any making-this-up with their cultural ideas in front of the American public, so they now have to do this silly s**t of bussing in Democratic operatives to shout and scream and these same tactics of Saul Alinsky, that have also been stale for a very long time. It's all just about the Democrats and Deep-State goon politicians and operatives getting back power; not that a huge swarm of people are actually turning or are mad, with this fake silliness they have to stage. When they have to try and do it this way with these Red-Guard tactics, it's completely coming from a place of dishonesty and thus poisoned from the start.

One of the main reasons Democrats are so unpopular is because they make no serious attempts to reign in the Trump regime and it's unconstitutional behaviour.
That's also why Dems like Sanders and Jasmine Crockett are much more respected than Schumer or Pelosi.

Musk and his DOGE see Social Security as this untapped pool of money ripe for the taking. They could declare me dead or fraudulent if they want to. They don't play fair or lawful. My parents paid into social security. Musk can make that money disappear into his account just to prove his Ponzi scheme theory as an excuse NOT to pay my family back every dime they worked for.

^ Wat ? Literally all the Democrats do, all the time, from every possible angle, every which way, for the last 10 years, is attack Trump.
Schumer and Pelosi both impeached him more than once. The thing I would agree with though is the stupid things they do like Chouck Schumer ordering Tucker Carlson off the air from the floor of the Senate with the horrible optics of this and the people they are in general, leads to an inevitable unproductive backlash effect for your side.
Who knows though, they have Barney Sanders out on tour, maybe they will somehow try and run him in 2028, a 100 year old man.... another Biden situation they now have total manipulation over the shell of the shell he once was.
