The brillance of the GOP tax plan is that makes voters in blue states more likely to push back against future tax increases.

Blue states like California, New York
-the mortgage interest deduction is cut to $500,000 of home value
-state and local taxes are not deductible
-property tax deduction is capped at $10,000

So, in the future, if a state, or local gov. entity wants to raise taxes, voters will be more against it, cause it's gonna hurt more.

Maybe this could swing a California or New York voter to vote GOP.

...Of course, maybe Trump himself is " deranged " - as in early-stage dementia! :twisted: I've meant to post about this seperately, I may yet, it was relatively minor in itself, but - That Boy Scout convention speech, where he boasted and IIRC got mildly suggestive and politicized it - He was, later, boasting to a media outlet that tends to be in his corner (the WSJ) about how the Scouts organization told him how great his speech was, which was not true - Trump's own team was on the box to the WSJ apologizing for him, admitting " no, no, that isn't so " to them... forming a protection team around him 8O !

according to pew research, only about 15% of folks in france, germany, and britain trust trump to handle world affairs, while 80% of them trusted obama. i was in paris in september. i often said, "desole pour le trump. je ne pas vote pour lui," and met with approval.

from the rationalizations i see in this thread, i think trump was right about one thing: he could shoot someone in public and not lose support.

i could ask you the same of your views. no one is entirely objective. i have, however, taken the mmpi. i am honest, modest, reality-based, and willing to look at my own faults. i think that's fairly objective.
