Our New President - President Donald Trump
disapproval doesn't = hatred.
I like most can tell the difference between expressions of disapproval from expressions of seething hatred.
evidently not very well if you think i hate trump. i don't even know him. and i don't hate anyone. but i disapprove strongly of trump as president. if he wants to go back to making millions in real estate, i have no problem with that, as long as he pays his contractors and doesn't start another fake university. i'm perfectly happy with him being rich and happy, just don't want him stacking the court with extreme judges like he is now and committing other governing harms. i'm editing to add this line: claiming to know what's in the mind of another person quite possible involves extreme hubris.
And I don't even know you. My comments refer to the overall masses rather that some individual who is usually just another blurred face in the crowd to me. I go by seething vitrolic laguage I see across the internet that is an obvious expression of deep-seated hatred.

He's considering expanding the definition of "hardship".
So that more "hardship" people are able to drop out.

But then less people will have coverage. Is that supposed to be interpreted as Cheezit Satan trying to kill off more poor people?
Cheezit Satan?LOL!! !

still thinking you know what others are thinking. usually, that's not a wise practice. i wished my ex luck on his tests for a brain tumor even though at that moment i hated him for physically abusing me. someone else might give someone the finger just for not moving quickly enough when the light turns green, though the former might not really give much of a thought about feelings for the latter. in one case, hate looks like love. in the other, indifference looks like hate. actually, it's just two different styles.

Why are you defending yourself to me (or whatever it is you're doing), when I made it clear that I am not addressing you personally.

i'm not defending myself since you said you weren't addressing me. i'm addressing an error in thinking. it's a fault of mine, in general, to get overinvolved in advising people. now, instead of asking me why i did it, could you comment on the validity of what i said?

When people say things repeatedly that come out as seething hatred, that's how it's going to be interpreted. Reading their minds and knowing what's in their heart is impossible. One has to go by how people decide to present themselves. What you're saying comes out as glossing over and or a cop out.
The real shame in this is how a certain demographic has made themselves look like angry hateful kooky sore losers. They have given themselves a very bad reputation. And claims that they made about being all peaceful and tolerant and insightful and those who take the high road etc, have been completely trashed, by them.
Here is a prime example:
That's who they are now. You see that's what I respond to rather than supporting Trump. You'll never see a post from me where I praise Trump. I'm just addressing the counter productive self-destructive madness. And of course that's pissing off some people. I'm halfway surprised that I haven't been threatened myself. I have been outright bullied a few times however. Tough s**t I'll keep saying what I have to say.

the example you posted just came out as blank space. i'll assume it was bad. i've seen some language among my fellow progressives that i don't approve of. like you, i try to defend underdogs. trump just makes a poor underdog, being super-rich and the most powerful man in the free world and all. i tend to hold everyone in positions of power to very high standards. trump is nowhere close to living up to them. obama wasn't perfect, but he had the country's interests at heart as best as i can tell. trump just wants his properties to make more money. example: in his current trip to asia in a speech, he praised his Bedminster golf course. totally inappropriate.

Just look up electors receiving thousands of death threats on YouTube. I added a little extra commentary to my post above btw. Again, I think people making themselves look bad, an entire demographic making itself look bad, in how they have chosen to address the issue, is what I am addressing. There's no excuse for bad to atrocious behavior in the form of bad to atrocious verbiage. Some to a lot of which just looks like hyperbolic lunacy. Angry sore losers who will pounce on every little thing and make mountains of molehills. Credibility goes right out the window. It would be one thing if it built up over time. But these people were going full scale vitriol from the very start.
i clicked on one of those videos. the elector got tons of mail urging them to vote their conscience but was understandably focused on a few that wished he were dead or actually threatened. the next video that played without my doing anything was fox disparaging actors from a commercial urging electors to vote their conscience. seems as if there's a smattering of bad behavior on both sides.
the video i saw had thousands of letters and a few death threats. none of which were okay.
when obama ran, my husband wouldn't let me use a bumper sticker because cars around here were fire-bombed for an obama sticker. youtube videos aren't a reliable indicator. studies show that 95% of political violence is far rightwing. you only have to go as far back as charlottesville for two egregious examples.
the video i saw had thousands of letters and a few death threats. none of which were okay.
Well it's like you're saying the electors received thousands of letters politely urging them to change their vote and some were in the form of threats. But from what I was reading (from nonpartisan news sources) as it took place, is that the majority were threatening. At the same time rioting was taking place. There were also all the thousands of insane tweets and FB posts and so on. And it's still continuing. I along with millions think it's absolutely ridiculous behavior.
