I find this thread very interesting because my family is Jewish. I'm a nonbeliever, but still a recipient of Jewish genetics, and enjoyed the article on simpletoremember.com.

What I have never seen and found no evidence for in my online searches is a report on a higher prevalence of ASDs among Jews. I'm the only one in my family with AS. That proves nothing one way or another, of course, but I searched PubMed (the National Library of Medicine's online database of research articles) and got no results.

I'd be interested to see any studies on this subject, so post links if you have them.

Now I don't know where to place you....but it should not be a matter of generalization by gender nor race but by perspective and one's own culture!! !

I have noticed that all the Autistics and Aspies that I know are Jewish. It must be a genetic thing. In the West, Jews are the most likely people to marry into their own tribe which concentrates the gene pool.

Utter nonsense. You are confusing customs originating thousands of years ago with symptoms.

Non-orthodox Jews general do not do the rocking shtick nor do they worry too much about Sabbath rules.
