There are no atheists, for all have perceived God.

Romans 1:18-20 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

And the creature cannot fully rebel against the creator. After all, all knowledge comes from the fear of God.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Holy tap-dancing Christ, you just used the Bible itself to prove the most popular contemporary criticism of religion! :hail:

Atheists have yet to perceive the wrath of God.

Also, there are no atheists in foxholes:
Quote:
aphorism used to argue that in times of extreme stress or fear, such as when participating in warfare, all people will believe in or hope for a higher power.

If there is a God it is evident he seems not offended by atheists.

In distinction to the bulk of religious people, atheists think a great deal more about the nature of religion and its disasters and general inconsistencies. People who think stay away from war as much as possible and leave foxholes to foxes or people who think wars provide solutions rather than problems. Some defensive wars may be unavoidable but the last survey indicates that foxholes are not particularly comforting in a disastrous situation.

Did you get that from "Hundreds of Proofs of God's Existance"?

132. ARGUMENT FROM CATCH-PHRASE, a.k.a. INVERSE TRUE SCOTSMAN ARGUMENT
(1) There are no atheists in foxholes.
(2) [Atheist points out atheists in foxholes.]
(3) They don’t count.
(4) Therefore, God exists.

Indeed. Every new born babe is an atheist. Born not believing in God. Believing in the Deities is learned behavior. Religious belief is like a fungus that grows over otherwise unafflicted children.

I need to get another copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series so I can counter fiction-book quotes with fiction-book quotes.

Douglas Adams has more believable models of the universe at large.

If that's accurate in being represented as meaning that anyone who second guesses or examines their own nature to separate fact from feeling and who ends up not ultimately going with feeling will incur the wrath of God - he's kind of a dick in that case. That would mean that he's really abandoning the self-sufficient. That kind of callow stupidity though, IMO, is impossible of a creator who supposedly 'loved us all so much that he counted the hairs on our heads as he put them in place'. Its difficult to be omniscient, omnipotent, and not be infinitely empathetic which is why holding us accountable for what we can't logically reconcile with what's in front of us seems too callous and too humanly ignorant to be the behavior of something that exists at that stature.

I have seen this stated by atheists before. I have also seen agnostics state we are all born agnostic, born without knowledge of God. I have also seen theists state we are all born with God; God is in everyone. I imagine each would think they are correct. I makes me think of the respective bubbles of delusion thread. I guess it could be said there are more.

I can say that babies are born without knowledge, knowledge of everything as well as knowledge of moral or social conduct, such as those considered proper and improer, which they all are learned, so yeah, everything is learned. I don't see what that has to provide in relation to atheism, theism and agnosticism, I'd say nothing.

It has also been stated that new born babies are solipsists, so perhaps that is the case.

If babies acknowledge the existence of another human being such as their mothers, could it be said that they assume their mother's omnipotence?

No. But they do acknowledge their mother's existence otherwise they would not cry for her attention.

Babies believe in God.

1) Stones believe in God
Luke 19:40"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

Stones would not cry out unless they believed in God.

2) Babies are at least as smart as stones if not smarter than stones.

3) Therefore, babies believe in God.

But then Republicans don't believe in God, as they are dumber than rocks?
