Was that chemistry, or do you two really hate each other?

I have absolutely no clue who this person is. I'd hope they don't hate me, otherwise they're way to vested in me.

Well this is just awkward. Here's hoping everyone can be friends after this basically because I really like you all. Magnus, that was very cute with the ditto-Ghost reference. It was like you were trying very hard to lighten the mood! I don't know how well it worked though. I could insert several of those little yellow faces here if I knew how. Crazy crazy.

Autistics are people.

It's like there's something spiritual to it, like some of us are angels, and some of us are demons, with no real "human" middle ground in between.
Just kind of playing with the idea but it makes sense.
Or maybe it only makes sense because I'm kind of high right now so take this as you will but I like the idea.

Man, you have no idea. I'm an atheist/agnostic/whatever but have been exactly in that thought-space before. I see lots of overlaps between religious dogma and psychology, and that's probably because religion originated as a way of describing the complex human psyche. But that's another thing. Yeah, I have thought that before. To extrapolate, think about the satan story. Basically, there's no difference between an angel and a demon, they started out as the same, but then at some point in the story bifurcated into separate categories.

And yeah, I get a lot of these ideas when I'm high. So screw the "sober up" mentality, and those dismissive of your idea. I mean, yeah, it's probably crap since I doubt there exist angels and demons in the tangible sense, but that's not the point. The point is to flex your meta-muscle.

Abberant gibberish coming out of their mouths that bears no correlation to their thoughts? That's not Autism; most Enties have that.

I'm beginning to think it's all caused by how much you actually think about what you're doing. Total Enties don't think about everything they say or do - they delegate it to a subroutine - so much of it is irrational as a result. In effect, they're mainly running on autopilot. People with severe Autism, on the other hand, think about everything they do or say, and the human mind isn't designed to do that, so it's a total information overload. That's why a lot of Enties are shallow; you're not actually interacting with a person at all.

And yes, I did think about what I've just written. With practise, anyone can switch themselves out of autism and enty at will. It just takes an weful lot.

I completely agree with you on this. It works for a lot of the symptoms. Physical clumsiness is easy to explain... I don't know how many times I've been aiming a dart or a ball or something and completely missed because I overthought the precise and diverse ways I could move my muscles to carry out the motion.

Lately I've been experimenting with low doses of a glutamate antagonist to try to cut down on the chatter. It seems to work very well. Essentially, glutamate receptors in the brain excite neurons, and this drug reduces the amount of excitatory activity. It is my personal estimation (being a psychology/neurology Aspie) that many of those with Asperger's Syndrome have glutamate overactivity.

Ok let me start off by saying this...a building is as strong as its foundation..and this thread started off as some delusion from a high and has not been standing on firm ground since

Anyway, All humans have this pendilum (sp) thing going on. The greater the pendilum goes one way then the greater it can go the other, meaning humans in general are capable of great good and great evil. It really amounts to an individual choice of which way one will swing. Autistics are no different. We are 100 percent human, not angels or demons or sprites, or even spiritless masses of energy. We are no better than "humans" and no less human than NT's are.

When i have calmed down I often find that i was insensitive when I had become agitated with another. Then I feel driven to be helpful and kind to that same individual. I am suceptable to becoming agitated when someone is cruel and I can return cruelty temporarily intentionaly. But after I have moved my thoughts into a peaceful or enjoyable place I regret any involvement I had in the whole experience.

Maby Aspies are a little like Angle Gabriels? Certainly you must really live for awful experiences to be a demon.

and yet it continues to build  ...kinda like Mexico City was built on vast wetlands...and it sinks 1 foot a year
except this thread has no real basis for existance....yet somehow it still does...sinking further an further into insanity
