“Why abandon a belief merely because it ceases to be true? Cling to it long enough and... it will turn true again, for so it goes. Most of the change we think we see in life is due to truths being in and out of favor.”

Robert Frost quote

Who could change my beliefs?

Only I can. Others are merely influences.

If he ever told me something in person - I doubt he'd need to tell me twice :).

He told me things personally. Of course I have doubts though. Doubting seems to be influenced by other people, more so than just myself over-analyzing things.

You can talk to God, but if God ever talks to you...yadayada

Could Jessica Alba make you believe you are not gay?

Truth is not a matter of fashion. When something is discovered to be not true it never was true. Believing that things are true does not make them true.

C'mon Magnus, Jessica Alba, seriously?
Laughable.

Would a gay man do anything with her except ask her about how to perform felatio correctly?

I meant it more as in 'seeing is believing' and that if I did have that sort of experience I don't think I could even try to empiricize it as it would be absolutely hopeless.

As for the 'Jesus is Lord and anything he tells me in the bible I follow' - maybe some day if I get a lot more proof that I've seen to date. That may be a long time or, just as likely, never.

Techie, did you read about Mother Teresa before she died?

Lol, I agree - though to that last part I don't know that there's much proof she'd even be useful there. She might have to watch Bruno's Milli Vanilli scene for a few days and get back to ya.

No, did she have a vision or profess closet atheism? I just remember reading in Michael Novak's 'No One Sees God' that she indicated having a dark night of the soul (ie. feeling as though God wasn't present and that she's praying into the wind) for a long time - it'd be interesting to see which way that turned.

I've always wondered how she landed all those roles.

About the Mother Teresa post. You need to look it up yourself, it's quite SAD. Apparently, she only felt the presence of GOD ONCE in her lifetime, AND that was when she was on a train heading for school; so she decided to drop out and help the needy. FROM THERE ON, she never heard or felt the presence of GOD ever again, up until her death, so she said, in her own diary. Do you think someone can have a peaceful death with so much regret in their life?
