David Ignatius of the Washington Post says that Europe needs Teabaggers because they can serve as shock troops to promote redistribution towards the rich because "few Europeans, political or conservative, seem willing to give up their share of the entitlements package that is part of the modern social-democratic compact." Good grief. Why do American commentators keep lecturing the Europeans about the alleged need to break their unions and shred their social safety net and make people's lives miserable in general. Do they want to destroy capitalism?

That you label Republican disinterest in the best outcome for the country as a "lesser extent" considering their enthusiasm for the vandalism of the US when Bush was in power nails you down fairly solidly.

I wasn't referring to my personal opinions there, I was referring the the point of view of the Tea Party movement, who seem to have problems with the both the Democratic and Republican parties, but slightly less of a problem with the Republicans.
