Hating people as individuals is not good at all, but sadly, its often our default in times of grief or stress. That's why keeping our own egos in check is so vital, because uncontrolled hate turns to wanton wrath. Anger is different, because it doesn't always lead to hate (Yoda messed up on that one).

If you love somebody I think it would be perfectly logical to hate any malicious and malevolent adult who willfully harmed your loved one. I've never really hated anybody, but that's because no such person has been foolish enough to harm my wife or my children.

oh, when I was hating people I was definitely hating people and not myself. at least consciously.
