Some of the "moneyed monsters" actually produce and invent useful. I think of people like Ed Land for instance. I think of people like Salk and Sabin. All of his planes crashed and sank in the Potomac. Such are the "moneyed monsters".

There are no good governments and there never were any good governments. There are only bad governments and worse governments. See what Pierre Josheph Proudhon had to say about government.

If you think you can trust big business more than government you are clearly nuts. At least there is some possibility of controlling economic forces with government. The prime concern of business is making money and they have no more ethics than the Mafia.

Well, I'll strangely agree that you can trust big business more than government. With big business, you know what it is after, and you know that it cannot survive unless it does a good job persuading you and others like you into something that each individual has a personal interest in assessing. With government, we see populist demagogues pop up all the time, and so many times, destroying their countries. I mean, one can say "oh, well, we can control economic forces with government", but frankly, unless you can control a swarm of idiots, then you can't. The politicians ethic is to get votes while they can, but has nothing to do with actual real competence, and the average person has no ability to even assess competence anyway.

I am able to buy good food from my profit driven local supermarket. That is more than I have got from either the mafia or the U.S. government. This people have no ethics. They just have good merchandise at prices I can afford to pay.
