If they rebuild the temple it would need to be BIG because every Jew in the world would need to fly in a couple of times a year dragging a calf or a sheep with them.

That would make it the world's biggest and smelliest slaughterhouse.

How many modern Jews would actually believe that if you do something wrong and set fire to a sheep then god will be pleased with you?

The rest of us know that isn't true. If you are serious then you must sacrifice a virgin.

For those who come from afar, the Commandment is that they buy their sacrificial animals on site and not schlepp them a great distance. I am sure the Temple money changers would be happy to work with credit or debit cards.

Maybe some entrepreneurial young jew will get a good idea to set up a "worship by proxy" internet site. You could do the sacrificing for the people who hire you over the net. Make a fortune!

That won't work out. The Commandment states that a person making a sin offering or a thank offering must say to the priest personally one on one what the sin was or the issue for giving thanks.

I'm Christian and well the things predicted in the bible are quite scary and many are coming true.

Quit lying to yourself. None of it is coming true. It'd require for books of myth to actually be books of fact. If you have trouble mixing fiction and non-fiction books, I have some I could recommend to you that'd give you a better, less eschaton-obsessed outlook on life.

IMO, the Dome of the Rock should be kept were it is, but w/ a new Temple at one side and a Christian (preferably Catholic as it's one of the most mainstream denominations) church at the other

Wrong there are only 13 Million Jews and the majority do live in Israel. 40% of all Jews live in Israel currently.

These prophecies were fulfilled in 1948
Amos 9:14-15
I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the Lord your God.

Ezekiel 34:13
"I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land."

Predicted over 2500 years ago.

You have the numbers wrong and 40 percent is not a majority.

There are Jews in Iran, in fact they are such a strong minority that they have congress positions. Oh, and they are against Israel.

Edit: Anyway, Israel is almost a case of self-fulfilled prophecy. The powers at the time the nefarious decision to give them that land were mostly Christian, so in their own biases (whether conscious or not) they decided that Israel was supposed to happen.

Hey, a fulfilled prophecy is a fulfilled prophecy, self-fulfilled or otherwise.

Even Jesus from time to time did specific things that, among other things served the purpose of prophecy fulfillment.

With prophecy, there is no need to assume that fulfillment is an accident.

Bold mold topic

What would you expect them to say? Ahmadinejad and Khameini have them cowed.

Congress positions? Of course.

So your claim is that Iran is intrinsically anti-semitic but your argument seems to be based on media-bias-caused prejudice about Iran rather than from actual evidence.

Israel is a very dangerous state actively engaging in state terrorism and is armed to the tooth. It would be very hard for a country nearby them not to distrust them. Do not forget the fact that the territory in which they were placed was not theirs in the first place but was completely imposed. Imagine if the UN would randomly decide to give 5% of the US to Palestines so that they live in there and throw away everyone who was living in that 5 % before.

If these people didn't blindly obey a book from 5000 years ago, the mid-west would have been a lot more peaceful and the world would have been a better place. Personally, I think it is too much of a sacrifice just so christians brag about fulfilled prophecies.

Iranian Jews are far from being the only ones against Israel's actions. The US is actually filled with those. I think it is time already to demistify the Israel issue. Being against Israel should not be different than being against Russia or against America. Not just because I am against America's government should it mean I am an anti-Caucasian and neither should being opposed to Israel mean I am anti-semitic.

The mid-west? Wait, what do a bunch of corn-growers from Kansas and Nebraska have to do with this?

This is really a question for the Government of Israel rather than 'the Jews'

I don't think the millions of Jews living in NYC would get to vote on it.........but they might help with the funding

There are more Jews in the U.S. than in Israel.
