Getting back to basics, does Mickey Mouse exist? Is he a spiritual entity. I have seen Mickey Mouse. I have never seen either AG nor God and perhaps they are the same thing. I am reasonably sure, but not positive that Mickey Mouse is not God.

Unequivocal topic

Mickey Mouse is not God, and vice versa, in the sense that A is not B. Likewise, I do not believe at this point that AG is synonymous with God, if there is such an entity calling itself God, at this point in time.

I have evidence of communication with AG, and Sand, but not God. I believe evidence of reciprocal communication is one indication of existence, so I am willing to acertain the existence of both, even if both are unwilling to admit this.

Existence is a temporoary state, at least to living entities, so as I write I am fairly certain of my own state of being, and I suppose I will be reminded of AG and Sand again, at least when they comment/post again. :P

Like many other Americans today Mickey mouse is unemployed. He is apprenticed to a sorcerer but that is without pay and Pluto has been downgraded from a planet. These are hard times. Even God, I have heard, is reconsidering condoms.

Benny's brand of religious rubbers topic

Vatican family values--according to one news report from the weekend, Ben-edict is somehow tolerant of male prostitutes wearing the rubber penile glove, as this does not having anything to do with procreation. :P

Do I exist, or anyone who might respond to this question? When you use the word “I” what does it refer to?

I chose AG's name for the title of this thread because we have discussed this in the past though I don't think we have agreed upon an answer. He has accused me of non-existence, claiming I am nothing more than an illusion created by my mind, but if he has admitted it pertaining to himself I missed it.

I bring this up at this time because of the many debates going on in this forum about the existence of God. It seams to me that before we can discuss the possibly of the existence of a higher being, we must first settle the question of whether or not the beings holding the conversation exist.

You have to trust your own experience that you do exist. I think the issue is pretty easy to settle. "I" exist, and I know that the phenomenon of my self is generated, in some degree, by my physical brain. I also know that there are other people who possess the same organ of thought that I do but are existent in other vectors of space that I won't ever be able to occupy simultaneously with them. Why? ....because we'll bump craniums if we attempt it. I can extrapolate from my own experience of consciousness that other people are conscious too.

Knowing that other human beings have experiences that are distinct (or disconnected to a certain extent) from my own subjective experience, its bad to assume that something isn't conscious simply because I'm not experiencing what its experiencing. Since the laws of physics governing the matter that composes my brain somehow has a conscious property to it, it would be short sided of me to assume that the activity of physical laws, outside the organization of the human brain, aren't conscious in some way either. The consistency of the laws in our universe may have some sort of consciousness or mind behind i, and this could be called God.
