Depends on who will be running against him I suppose. Though if it turns out to be anything like '08, I will be doing what I should've done for that election and boycott the whole thing all together. For once it would be nice to have an election with serious candidates running instead of those with a dumbed-down appeal.

Enjoyed Dick Morris's video take on Obama,his turn to the left politically, with his thoughts on the chances of Obama's re-election.

Personally, I think President Obama has a decent chance to win re-election, but it is early. My quick thinking is Obama is the incumbent, which seems to give a candidates an advantage, plus he has much of the MSM on his side.

I do believe though if gas prices remain high, the economy keeps puttering along poorly, plus the GOP elect a decent candidate, he will loose.

I think as long as Trump and Palin continue their antics, there is no way that another Republican newcomer can gain a part of the spotlight in the Country. After yesterday, the continued Birther controversies, and Trump's assertion of Victory in making Obama present the Birthcertificate, Trump keeps the attention and the speculation on himself and Obama.

So we are left with Romney, if Palin, Huckabee, and Trump decide not to run. It's hard to say if the Trump Phenomenon is better for Romney or Obama in the long run. At this point though, Trump has gained the spotlight over all the other potential Republican canidates.

Even if I wasn't going to vote for Obama (which I am), I'd still pray for lower gas prices, as I hate taking the bus.

It's in fact Republicans at the state level who are making it harder to register, particularly aimed at racial minorities, and young voters. If anything, Republicans are the ones who are already resorting to fraud.

I assume you're referring to same day registration and having to show photo ID. That isn't fraud, that is defending against fraud. It doesn't just apply to young people or minorities.


But minorities, poor people, and younger people are less likely to have picture ID. I personally believe this was thought up to weed out people who are more likely to vote Democrat.

Nothing stopping them? Plenty of poor people or college kids can't afford to get one. If pointing that out makes me self righteous, then I'm self righteous.

IIRC it costs $11 which isn't such a big whoop. It's not the fact that you pointed it out per se, but that you went as far as calling it fraud when it is a measure that prevents fraud.


Sorry, I still see it as a means of denying undesirables the right to register to vote. The same can be said about a tea bagger plan to deny college students the right to register locally if they or their parents aren't long term residents. In this case, it was specifically stated that the intent was to deny young liberals the vote.

No, I'm referring to poor people, college students, blacks and other racial minorities. In other words people who have historically been known to vote Democrat.
I forgot to mention, there is a pending law in Texas that would not accept college I.D.'s as proper identification to register, or let alone vote - but they'd accept a gun license. Sort of implies who they want to let vote, and who they don't.

Ever hear of an absentee ballot, college kids are often residents of other states (you are only supposed to have 1 vote not 1 in each state). Or are you implying that foreign college students should be voting in our elections.

As to your playing the race card (and I'm quite frankly not surprised), there is such thing as a state ID, unless you're saying Illegal Immigrants should be allowed to vote, it is rather easy for a US citizen regardless of race to get a State Photo ID.

Because they are already a resident of another state and would be voting in that state's election. To allow them to also vote in another state's election would essentially be allowing them to vote multiple times.
