In American politics, I view the Democrats as being nothing more than internationalist socialists, and the Republicans as being nothing more than nationalist socialists. Both parties are filled with idealistic statists, not constitutionalists or even federalists.

its a nice simplification but a good portion of the Dems are as jingoistic as the republicans.

Internationalist Socialists... Like Lenin, and Trotsky... They export troops and weapons for the sake of glorious democracy and revolution.

Sorry, Democrats are not socialists and not particularly "internationalist" in the sense of believing in a global socialist revolution and a removal of all national borders.
