Bachmann really has no shot. Orwell is mistaken if he thinks she is gaining momentum. She's been fading in the polls and a good portion of her supporters are going to Rick Perry. The only state she'd be competitive in would be Iowa, the state she was born in. I think Sarah Palin is a more threatening candidate than Michelle Bachmann if you want the truth.

You were just saying that Bachmann and Paul are polling similarly. So Bachmann has no chance but Paul does? I think you are letting wishful thinking cloud your objectivity here.

Bachmann's support is collapsing and Paul's is ironclad and growing. Paul can win in a place like Iowa or New Hampshire. He's just a much stronger versatile candidate while Bachmann is just your typical "Jesus is magic" candidate. She's the same as Herman Cain or Donald Trump in the sense that after her initial bump she's crashing back down to earth. She's building up negatives faster than anybody I've ever seen and I don't think she has a fortitude that say Sarah Palin has. I wouldn't be surprised if she drops out before the Iowa. Her supporters will abandon her for Rick Perry(they already are) and Sarah Palin if and when she decides she wants to run.

If Ron Paul runs against Lord Obama, Paul will go down in flames. The public (on the whole) just loves its entitlements, however ill founded or ill considered.
