Again, I'll say it - I expect the rich and big corporations to invest in America because it's the patriotic thing to do. What would you think of underclass people fighting for another country, because of the "climate" of America's military?

Right now it is stupid to invest in this country due to Obama's anti-business jihad.

I simply refuse to buy that excuse. I say America first shouldn't be just about putting our international interests ahead of everyone else', or just about buying American products, but also it should entail hiring Americans and putting back into the economy.

I suggest you look how the Obama administration is bullying Boeing, Ford, and Gibson Guitars.

Boeing -- Told they can't have a plant in South Carolina because it is a "Right to work" state.

Ford -- Told to pull an ad that is bashing the bailout and the fact it didn't take bailout money while its competitors did (the advertisement was factually correct). (Both Ford and White House denies story, though given the White House's track record wouldn't surprise me if they also threatened Ford with consequences if they didn't keep their mouth shut).
http://www.detnews.com/article/20110927 ... n-bailouts

Gibson Guitars -- being subjected to repeated raids over a type of wood they use in their guitars while a competitor that uses the same kind of wood is not (it has been found it could be due to the fact that the competitor donates to Democrats while Gibson leans Republican).

In so called right to work states, wages are generally so low that workers hardly ever prosper. Boeing, which is largely based in my home state of Washington, has always provided good paying jobs and benefits to plenty of Washingtonians (including some of my relatives and in-laws), and it's pretty disgusting that this legacy should be thrown away for the sake of corporate greed. And being that the government is perhaps Boeing's most important customer, I think it's more than fair that they can insist on certain policies in return for their business.

If both Ford and the government have denied your charge, then I think in all likelihood, it never happened.

I don't know a thing about Gibson Guitars, but did you ever consider the possibility that there was more to the federal raids than just a political motivation?

Hypocracy on Boeing situation: Then why is the Obama administration having no problems with GE sending jobs to China?

Why your statement on Ford situation doesn't make sense:
1. It was an extremely effective ad, so it doesn't make sense from a financial standpoint.
2. The retailiation towards S&P for downgrading US bond rating.
3. If Ford was threatened about the ad, they would have been told to keep their mouths shut or suffer consequences.

Gibson Guitars

They also took Guitars made before the law they supposedly violated was enacted. It is spelled out specifically in the United States Constitution that laws cannot be applied retroactively.

He doesn't comprehend anything other than political motivation.

I know that there have been some woods that have been banned from being used, because of the trees becoming scarce. But, some guitar makers that already had some old stock can go ahead and use it.

I don't have time to look this up just now. But, I'm sure that our Little Inuyasha was just listening to Glen Beck's inane rantings again.

pandabear, if you bothered to read my source, you would find that your statement is debunked.

The guitars the Feds took were made before 1970, thus before the law in question existed. Furthermore, it turns out the wood that was after 1970 in question was Indian Rosewood from India which is a legal import and not wood from Madagascar like the Feds originally claimed. What the source I listed did not mention is the Feds changed their story to claim the wood was illegal because it wasn't processed in India, however the Indian Government is saying Gibson didn't violate any of their laws.

To which I will reply with Article 1, Section 9, clause 3 of the United States Constitution.

In the United States, the federal government is prohibited from passing ex post facto laws by clause 3 of Article I, section 9 of the U.S. Constitution and the states are prohibited from the same by clause 1 of Article I, section 10. This is one of the very few restrictions that the United States Constitution made to both the power of the federal and state governments prior to the Fourteenth Amendment.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ex_post_facto_law

As to Article 1, Section 9, clause 3:
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_On ... n_Congress

The Federal Government violated the United States Constitution by taking guitars made prior to 1970 and refusing to return them.

The source actually works at Ford, and there would be a good reason for him/her not to be identified, cause they would suffer retribution (like being fired or audited by the IRS (Clinton style tactic)).
