Also, beating someone over the head with the americans with disabilities act because you don't like what they did is sort of a liberal move, wouldn't you say? Big government and all that?

Why didn't you argue on the merits of your work instead of asking big mommy government to protect you?

I have dysgraphia which makes prolonged writing painful. I was getting no special treatment in regards to academic standards, I just needed to type out essay questions instead of writing them out by hand.

I have dysgraphia too. My handwriting has been known to make teachers weep. When people see my signature they ask if i am a doctor.

In 1987 my 7th grade english teacher BEGGED me to use a word processor.

So why argue under the ADA instead of arguing that you did the work the same as anyone else in the class? Unless it was a composition class - and honestly those have been extinct since the early 70's - the teacher had no business complaining about the format it was turned in with if the content was the same as they would have received from any other student.

In my highschool career i did have a couple teachers who requested hand written assignments but they soon regretted it and relented. I actually became the guy who lugged around an immense portable computer.

He gave me a 0 for typing my answers up on a word processor, instead of writing them out by hand, I was doing the same work as the other students, just I had to use a different writing instrument (a glorified electric typewriter with a monitor) instead of a pencil.

Thanks in advance. :D

I'd like to thank you, Raptor. Every time I hear Hugh McFadyen repeat a bunch of misleading facts about the NDP government and arrest warrants, or the next time Sam Katz announces another Private-Public Partnership, or the next time Stephen Harper scraps another important inner-city program, I'll have your ultraconservative inanity to put things into perspective. Then I will realize, as much as the New Right is f*cking up Canada at the moment, it could be worse.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. :D
Well to be honest I had to google most of those names but once I saw the word "conservative" that told me enough.
Harper, of course, I've heard about mostly from your other fellow Canadian liberals moaning about which has brought such joy to me.
Well, to wrap this post up, I'll just say that with a little luck after next year's elections here in the Super Power (I love it :lmao:) maybe Herman Cain and Steve Harper can get the United States and Canada on the right track, finally...............

You better watch yourself Raptor, if you keep this up you might get called a CONartist and have those feelings you're not supposed to have hurt. Maybe you and Inuyasha and Browning could chip in for a thesaurus fund for Canadian sloganeers, I'm guessing they must have a shortage up there, based on the low slogan rotation anyway. Country Club Conservative just doesn't roll of the tongue like limousine liberal or it's latte liberal variation does, and ultra-conservative was pretty much a non-starter anyway with it's lack of alliteration and all. Maybe throw in a copy of Elements of Style while you're at it, this being a charity case and all.

What, that last shot hit a little too close to home? Are you really starting yet another flame-bait thread in which you attack yet another virtually interchangeable conservative figure with equally interchangeable slogans and insults, and then complaining when this is pointed out?

Well, I suppose as long as all due respect is given...

Rereading the thread, I see I derailed it right in the middle of some highly intellectual, extremely important discussions with Inuyasha concerning matters of the highest priority and sensitivity... I'll leave you to it.

Which is why I would be inclined to vote for him in the next election. He made his money the Old Fashioned Way, he Earned It.

He probably did but I don't find his Islam paranoia very appealing so I'm not sure if I would vote for him if I was American.

There are many self-made millionaires who aren't unreflective dicks when it comes to people who are still poor. Being nouveau riche isn't an excuse for being a dick.

Neither is being poor!! Why is it that when successful people have their land and businesses taken away because "society" could use the tax increases, libs don't defend the overreach. Ya know its good for society. But, those same libs, when posed with the question, "What are you going to do with a BA in Philosophy" want others to defend their poor choices by adding to glut of over-qualified know-it-alls. Which those successful people end up paying for anyway. Wake up. The great pucker is around the corner if this keeps up.

Give me an effing break! What "successful people" are having their land and businesses taken away from them in this country?
