The Republican primary is a joke. At this point an intelligent conservative candidate would do better bypassing it and running as an independent.

Ummm... last I checked Fnord is fairly conservative so I doubt he's going to vote for Obama. If conservatives want to stop Obama they have to get a candidate that someone like Fnord would vote for, a moderate libertarian who isn't a far-right religious nutjob (Bachmann or Perry), policy dunce (Cain), or unlikeable personality (Romney or Gingrich). Just face it, the GOP failed to come up with an electable candidate. At this point maybe Romney can eke out a win, but Gingrich is basically unelectable.

The polling doesn't appear to support you.

If fundraising is a measure--how can it not be--then your boy (and I choose the gender exclusive deliberately) is going to have a major uphill battle to fight.

However, I think the normal campaign stuff isn't as effective due to the extraordinary number of debates that have happened.

No, they're part of MSNBC. The Fox interviewer was asking Romney how voters could trust him with his record of flip-flopping, and Romney basically said they had bad information and that he never did flip-flop.
