Take the Occupy movement, for instance. After all the talking-head sound bites, all the noise, and all the action, I've determined that it's not about resolving issues. It is all about people wanting to be heard so that their feelings can be acknowledged - nothing more.
Same for the current group of GOP candidates - all except Mr. Romney are there to be heard (for the most part), without actually offering any viable solutions (for the most part).
In the last week, I've added
Der Spiegel to my reading list. It makes for a more fact-oriented perspective on the news, rather than a mere rehash of someone else's opinions (FOX), or an apocalyptic religious perspective (Trinity).
