The killing (often with torture) of heretics, church splinter groups, dissenters, atheists, agnostics, deists, pagans, infidels and unbelievers was supported by almost all mainstream Christian theology for over a thousand years, starting with the intolerant St. Augustine (died 430 AD)."

Yes.I know that Christians kill in the 4th and 5th century.
But it has nothing to do with Christianity.
Just like Bin Laden has nothing to do with his religion.

Jesus never commands killing.

So you and only you can define christianity?

Also, Bin Laden did represent Islam... the Quaran also tells it's followers to kill unbelievers.

Only the Bible defines Christianity

I could not define Christianity

We are not talking about religions,we are talking about Atheism.

On the contrary. You attacked Atheism. I am defending it by showing you that your religion is worse.

Everyone already knows that your assumptions about atheism are fictional.

Atheism itself is a faith.
It is a faith with no books.
It is indefensible than any religion .

Atheism is the absence of faith in the religious context, not a faith.

According to most people anyway

I am talking about the problems resulted from Atheism.
You are from the west.
You have not seen what Atheism could result in.
If only 10% of people are Atheists, things are not severe.
If 90% of people are Atheists, the society will certainly become Orwellian.
I live in an Orwellian society, and I know what it means.

If 90% of the population was atheistic society would make sense and be run by facts, not 2000 year old story books from the Middle East.

And in Christianity, Pi=3.

You are very wrong. Atheism is not about opinion, it is about fact.

You are delusional, foolish, and ignorant of the subject at hand.

By the way, Hitler was raised Catholic and believed his work was sanctioned by god.

A couple points here. Atheism is not a fact. If you really think that than atheism is a religion to you.

Second line is ad hominem and doesn't really add to your argument.

And while what you say is technically true about Hitler, Hitler was not a Christian in his later life. He probably wasn't an atheist, but your statement erroneously gives the implication that Hitler was a Catholic his entire life. I would say his beliefs later in life were more like Deism or Germanic paganism.

OK.We say that pure atheism is a belief that God does not exist.
Atheism is lack of religion.
Lacking religion could cause severe problems.

I ask you a question,abacacus

If the authority in your country force you to claim that 2+2=5,otherwise you will get killed, will you comply with the authority or not?
If the society is full of Atheists, when everybody is faced with that choice:claim 2+2=5 publicly or death, how many people will stand up and defend 2+2=4?

I know some will. But most will not.

I said atheism was about facts, not that it was a fact.

Atheists believe in what can be proven, not what we are told to believe.
