Okay, I'll temper my opinion just a bit in regard to your experience, but of the three unions I've been in so far, two of them dissolved when the companies ceased to exist (leaving us workers unemployed and on our own), and one of them did nothing to help me fight a wrongful complaint against me. So if asked again to start or join a union, I'd be inclined to say "No".

I have heard of the "twinkie defense" but I have never heard of the "KFC defense".

IIRC, someone did a chemical analysis once and discovered that there are really only 4 things in the KFC coating, and they are salt, pepper, flour, and MSG. I never did trust that colonel...
