A church, based on philosophy novels of Nietzsche, having fun rituals? Didn´t read everything of Nietzsche, but according to the books i read, Nietzsche and fun should not be mentioned in the same sentence.

So you can pay some guys money to get some books to read about it, or just leave your house and gather experiences first hand. ^^

I see the satanic energies more as the base, reptilian brain impulses and the different demons as different personifications of lower, unbridled libido. I've been working with Asmodeus (the demon of lust) and Mephistopheles (the demon of anger) to conjur up raw, psychic energy. For me, it isn't so much about worshiping Satan but finding a source of raw energy that I can transmute into my will and objectives. The names are really just symbolic personifications that I use to communicate to my own subconscious, but what they do represent does really exist in the inner chaos of man's nature as well as the outer chaos of physical nature. I try to channel the chaotic energy and direct it, much like how you would channel an unwieldy river through damns and levies.

I also use the Christ archetype as well in my rituals, and ultimately that's what I'm transmuting the lower, serpent energies into. Its really about taking unfocused, volatile emotions and directing it toward a higher good, and to me, higher good is that which not only enriches myself but others around me. I try to contextualize it all through the Christ consciousness of universal love and compassion.

Crowley's ideas were centered around an esoteric framework. I don't know if I'd consider him a Satanist specifically either. I'd say Thelema was more Luciferian, which is confusing, since most people don't know there's a difference. Satanism has more to do with following baser, animalistic impulses (Satan = Adversary), where Luciferianism has to do with enlightenment (Lucifer = Light Barer) and bringing direction to ones life through illumination and the dissolution of ignorance. He thought that there was a true will in all of us, grounded in universal love, that could be discovered through breaking away from the guilt and brain washing that's been imposed on us by societal norms and organized religion, which obscure said true will.

I have no clue whats up with the OP, but I've read Levay's works and they don't actually worship a "horn god" or pray to any demons.

The "horned god" is actually a Celtic god of the forest, known by many as Cernunnos. There are other gods what are known as the horned god, but Cernunnos is the most well known, and his consort if Brigid.

This thread looks to me like somebody wanted to go for some shock value without doing much actual reasearch....

I was meditating and succeeded in reaching a state conducive to hallucinatory experiences. The strange thing is that I had no recollection of ever hearing of "Asmodeus" up until that point. I had to google the name before I knew who he was. Not that I favor supernatural explanations, I'm sure I had heard the name in some context before I had my hallucination, but it seems strange that such an obscure reference had such a profound impact on me.

OliveOilMom seems to be right on this one, I suspected as much when the OP stopped posting as soon as people started calling him on his inconsistencies.

It's a shame, having a real satanist around these parts would have been quite interesting. What a disappointment.

I know this might be off topic but I envision a being so evil that when a demon tried to poses him he ended up possessing the demon completely and harnessing its power for total destruction!! !

Actually, a real Satanist would be a Traditional Luciferian. I'm sure there are some around, just not as many as the SBC would like us to believe...........
