Does anyone else see the similarties between Kim Jong Un and a really bad 1950s sci-fi supervillain? With the way he's threatening the United States, he might as well be exclaiming to us that he has a "magical death ray." He might have two missiles, but we have enough to destroy the world multiple times. If he knows what's good for him and his nation, he's not going to attack.

When the nerd is being bullied by the football team, there is that threat of force behind the constant use of force.

The best advice? Give the bully a bloody nose. You might get your ass kicked, but do not let them off cheap. A finger in the eye does wonders, and bullies do not like to pay any price.

Also, all of his football buddies become targets. Catch them taking a shower together, break some bottles, cover the floor with broken glass, then break out the baseball bats. Running naked through broken glass will be remembered.

10,000 American POWs, 10,000 dead, South Korea overrun, Air and Sea cover, and what could you do?

Bomb the starving people of North Korea? The occupied people of South Korea? The POW Camps?

Using Japan for a base makes it a target, the second largest economy on earth. Asia is growing, the economies of Europe and America are stalled out, and a little decline would be a lot.

China came in behind Taiwan's claim to some islands Japan claimed. They were a party to the last korean War, they are still in. No Rare Earths for you, and you are trapped in Afganistan, where it could turn very hot.

This is a war about the boundries of China, containment, that has been going on since WWII.

But The Great White Fathers of Europe have voted for Sanctions, demanding that other people quit developing! It is a Mandate!

The Great Powers have Spoken! Only they are not so great, they are broke, unable to put an army in the field, and Asia has one in place.

The last threat, Atomic Bombs, have been countered. America can be set back a few hundred years, with just a few bombs.

The Nerd Leader is calling your bluff. You are being offered a bloody nose, and loss of face.

All the Treaty Ports and Trade Mandates have ended, including Hong Kong. The Colonial Powers have been driven out, Asians are taking back Asia.

We are import dependant, and Chinese ships come to Southern California, SF, and Seattle every day. One container falling over the side would not be noticed. The loss of the West Coast would be.

North Korea has a border with Russia, another with China, and is upwind of Japan. Nuking them would have repercussions. UN action would be vetoed.

From Pyongyang, it is under 500 miles to Beijing, or Tokyo. Seoul is 35 miles from the border, and 150 to Pyongyang.

From the border to Pusan, the southern most city, is 250 miles. It might take a week to occupy everything. South Korea is about 150 by 250 miles.

That is 37,000 square miles, and the north has 30 troops per square mile. One for every twenty acres.

Like the North Vietnamese coming south, they come to liberate, from the white devils, unify the people, country, and they speak the local language.

It is the only way to end the forever war.

The answer is clear. Nuke the little sh*t. And god damn the collateral damage.

The quickest yet unforseen retailiation is in kin-jong-uns interests to step back from firing all nuclear missiles resulting in loss of life, and declaring war on the innocent of its own nation and counterparts.

Its not collateral damage you are speaking of, its simple murder of 24 million people. Yop murder, as long as there is no cause that excuses an nuclear attack. And according to you, your own country would be much more of a threat then north corea, because as you admitted yourself here in a written forum you think that nuclear rockets should be used out of fun to kill people without cause which is pretty ... weird... and I think US has much more of that useless weapons then norht corea ever can built themself.

And all that because of a tiny poser that still uses clearasil and simply does a show. If the idiot simply admitted, that he was too dumb to feed his own people, and that everyone would starve without other countries helping him voluntarily because of pity for his people, he would look like the looser that he is. By doing his show, he can tell his people that he forces the world to help mighty north corea because everyone is so afraid of him and his endless power. XD Get yourself some guts and return from hiding behind your couch, the almighty Kim is yet not before your door yet. ^^ Sorry, but my tiny dwarfen country had to live 30 years in the middle of two idiotic superpowercountries, threatening themself with tons of actually existing nuclear power weapons, only because they couldnt agree who of them had the longer dick. I find it odd how people think fatty kim is in charge. He isn't. The power structure in that country is clearly run by a group of elites that use their state media and 'dear leader' as PR pieces.

I certainly wouldn't want to see a nuclear strike against North Korea, because it will mostly just kill innocent people. However, given enough time, Kim Jong-Un will eventually develop nuclear capability of his own and that would be very scary indeed. The USA have said they will not allow this, yet they can't strike first without looking like the bad guys. Then again, maybe enough time has passed that people forgot about the "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq and they can get away with it once more.

The best thing, politically, would be for Kim Jong-Un to launch some half-baked nuclear rocket which explodes over his own country. Given their track record with technology, it's not entirely implausible.

500 miles from Beijing, and all of Japan is down wind.

The main Russian base at Vladivostok is a hundred miles away, and any incoming that close, will be taken as an act of war.

There are also islands in the Sea of Japan, claimed by both Koreas, and Japan. Read, Major Oil Field, and some islands almost to the Japanese coast. With a Korean lighthouse.

So more sea bottom claims, Russia, N. Korea, S. Korea, vs Japan.

Japan renounced all claims to Korea, including islands, to end WWII. Now they are saying islands not mentioned were kept.

So what is going on is a claim that the US imposed puppet government of S. Korea, does not speak for all of Korea. Another, that Japan gave up all claims, but has tried to come back.

So Japan has an American thug. It cannot protect Tokyo.

The North Korean claim comes due south of the Russian claim.

The Russian claim comes right up to the Japanese beach. They run jet fighters through, Japan complains.

North Korea is only one part of what is going on. They are taking the part of the Russians vs the Japanese, as they have the same claims to the sea bed.

A State of War still exists between Russia and Japan.

So claiming God gave you the world and the right to murder people found there is the blather of the insane. God is invoked to launch wars, never at peace talks.

An equality of force, enough to give a bloody nose, and real rights to land, sea, are the path to a peaceful settlement of long standing problems.

The other side in all this is Japan. They will get the bloody nose.

South Korea is nothing but a Treaty Port, taken by force. Those who voted against the division of Korea were murdered. On Cheju Island, 25,000 were murdered by US troops. It is the same area Japan occupied, and Korea still wants it back.

Korea became free of Japan, then invaded by America, it is just like Viet nam, fought Japan, the returning French, then the Americans, finally becoming one country, with self rule.

American steel and shipbuilding was sent to our South Korean slaves, dirty industry, no Unions, low wages, and a government police force to keep the workers in line. It was an early case of offshoreing.

It killed American shipyards, our own Merchant Marine, Steel Mills, Textiles, and we paid for it. The only freedom we supported was tax freedom for companies who took our jobs to South Korea.

The Japan we knew is retired, and live long. They are a third of the population, and the other two thirds have to support them. Two workers one retired, for decades to come. Their economy is a zombie, and their debt is huge.

We are facing the same with the War Babies.

There is no money for a war, no manpower, and we have been losing.

We are not the sole economic power, no amount of money will make us a millitary power, because we are a few hundred million, against billions.

Do not get involved in a land war in Asia.

Well if the U.S decided to use complete over-kill in retaliation to anything north korea might try to do, it will probably damage the entire planet a lot more than the existence of the people in North Korea including their pig leader do. I think its disgusting that humans want to have the means to destroy the world multiple times and would use it if anyone becomes a threat.

Well I don't want to die from a nuclear war because a bunch of world leaders are playing who has the biggest bombs.

North Korea and Iran are a joke! They both hate America with a passion but lack the power to take us on the only countries capable are China and Russsia but China is more interested in making money off us while Russia is an ally to us and a democracy!

The joke is on America. North Viet Nam was much less of a country, and they managed to win. Like Korea we have a southern base, but the fighting went on in the south. Here North Korea has short supply lines to Russia, China, and anti aircraft weapons have improved.

Nothing stopped our ships in Viet Nam, that too has changed.

Not everyone in South Korea is for occupation.

In Economics, Russia and China would buy their goods, and a unified Korea is a goal of many.

Both China and Russia want the US out.

Japan is the traditional enemy, who is trying to take sea bed, which is a major oil field, and restarting the Korean Civil War is a local affair.

The North can do it with conventional arms, and the 20,000 US troops could do nothing about the million man army of the North.

Saddam tried to invade Iran, from the common border, and lost a million troops.

The US, UN could not put together a force to counter Iran or North Korea. One has targeted the Saudi's, the other Tokyo, and the counter punch would flatten the world economy.

US Power comes down to being able to end the world. Anything less, we lose. There is no limited atomic war.

Even if North Korea took out Toyko and the West Coast, a counter attack would be seen as a war with Russia, China, which is why we did not nuke North Vietnam.

Talk is talk, war is like when we lost 10,000 a day just trying to land on a Japanese held island, and kept throwing men into the meat grinder till none of the 125,000 Japanese troops were left alive.

Taking North Korea would be much worse.

Thats why its very likely the McArthur plan is still on the table of options. Albeit a bit modified.

Situation:
NK uses a nuke on... well something other than south korea. They're not stupid to nuke what they hope to own or that which the winds can bring fallout back up north.
NK artillery wipes out Seoul.

The moment that happens.. within minutes.. Nkorea will receive a couple of small nuke strikes..but not to its capital... but rather to somewhere in the Chinese border. Make a radioactive barrier where the Chinese army cannot cross.

Then NK is dealt with via conventional means. China simply cannot do anything militarily at that point nor economically... the US can simply say 'oh really? well, we dont owe you any money then!' and poof! their economy collapses. Ours would hurt as well but we can recover a lot easier than China..the economic dump will have their own, already repressed citizenry rioting on the streets.

China would not defend North Korea but they probably would become involved in the event of war. They'd likely occupy the northern part of the country in order to create a buffer zone between US/ROK troops and to stop the flow of refugees into northeast China.
