Then in the same breath he dives back into a rant about evolution vs. creation.
I rest my case.

Would you prefer a good old-fashioned gun fight?

Last time I was in church I was 15 and my mother had to drag me out of bed and all the way there.
This aint about my beliefs but about the TheBicyclingGuitarist's insistence on repeated baiting/attempted hijacking.
It should be obvious even to a lizard.

That was a Methodist Church that I usually got dragged into. I've been dragged into the Nazarene Church a handful of times but neither used church snakes. The Nazarenes could get carried away sometimes but the snake box was never passed around.

Even when not defending truth and correcting lies told about evolution, PPR is still the most likely place to find my posts because it is the most likely forum to find discussions of "deep" philosophical issues. I cannot usually discuss such issues anywhere else (in real life and on the internet) because many people are either ignorant or apathetic about these subjects or they are offended by some of my views. I also have learned some things here and have sometimes adjusted some of my own beliefs from being exposed to more information.

As others with thin skins have found, PPR is a rough neighborhood compared to most other forums on WrongPlanet. One still has to respect other users even if one thinks their beliefs are garbage. It's a fine line to bash someone's beliefs without it being taken as a personal attack, and I know there are many here on WrongPlanet who do NOT post in PPR because of that.

I think the moderators in general do a fine job on this whole site, and I greatly appreciate that given the subject matter of PPR that there is greater freedom in this forum for discussion of sensitive subjects than on some other forums of WP. While forbidding personal attacks is a site wide rule, and a good one, I like the different levels of moderation appropriate for the different subjects of different forums. For example, that the Haven is what it says it is, that there are members only forums and adults only forums, etc.

I should mention, I come to PPR because we Aspies can get so nuts about certain subjects (evolution, gun control, the very existence of God, etc.), it's just too fun to avoid.

Because I enjoy it, and because I'm better at it than most people.

I still find it interesting, even though most of the PPR regulars i'm used to have essentially departed.
