Well as the New Hampshire Primary approaches, it would seem that Christie has been surging in the polls there recently, although I have had a hard time finding exact numbers.

I don't think anybody would have expected this when this thread was started. Not that I would vote for him (I'm not a registered Republican anyway) but I still find this turn of events interesting.

He is not interested in shrinking the government and only pays lip service to the constitution.

Oh, he IS very good at public speaking, though. His strongest trait is his ability to connect with the audience. However, he only does it by deceit. He is engorged with hot air.

It's easy to like what he says. But if you are a thinker, it's a lot harder to like what he actually believes and does.

The Dems and the Reps were unanimous in banning gestation crates. They put a female pig in a cage only inches larger then the animal. They NEVER let the animal out!! !! Christie vetoed what everyone else knows is evil. They should put Christie in a gestation crate! Imagine being kept in a crate for years! Christie vetoed it because of bribes from the pork industry. Such an action shows his grotesque lack of morals and character.

Christie seems to be Teflon-coated.

At this moment I still don't think he can be written off. I wouldn't bet good money on his being elected POTUS, but I wouldn't write him off either. He's certainly far exceeded initial expectations.

BTW his platform is way to the right of my personal philosophy (OTOH Sanders is way to the left). But for some reason I seem to like the guy, I like to hear him speak or something. Therefore willing to defend him against unfounded accusations.

Well if you are going to condemn him for either a.) not being Donald Trump or b.) not being Bernie Sanders feel free.

Christie exposing Rubio as a poorly programmed cyborg was pretty funny but he's still an ass who has no chance of winning.

Rubio looks like he crashed and burned, who ever comes out 1st between Bush/Kasich/Christie/Rubio will have the lead in the establishment primary going into South Carolina which will be the next BIG prize.

Christie and Trump are both loud mouths.

At least Christie knows what he is talking about most of the time. And he's a proven political leader (yes, he has played the bad side of politics, too).

He's not one of my favorites--but I'd prefer him over Trump any day!

I feel like Rudy Giuliani has been stuffing his face 8 years and has returned as Chris Christie to browbeat us some more about 9/11 because that's all he does, maybe throw in some Hurricane Sandy. Christie has been a terrible governor, shown a terrible temperament, and is probably the most pro-police state candidate running.

This fatman is such an ardent supporter of the War on Drugs yet he can't control the food he stuffs into his own mouth, he had to get a lap band to physically prevent himself from stuffing his gut until he puked. Just the worst type of hypocrite, an awful awful person.
