OP, poor people rob mostly other poor people. So yes. A large number of them are a moral failure. There's so many rich people to rob and get away with robbery, but they pick on each other for shavings of scraps.

The vast, overwhelming majority, of poor people don't rob anyone. Many rich people are dishonest, corrupt and will do anything to make themselves even richer if they think they can actually get away with it. Your comment lacks balance and truth.

It seems incredibly un-nuanced to make the claim that "poverty is a moral failure."

People like easy, simple, uncritical statements like this to make themselves feel better about themselves.
