Atheists, the largest non-Christian group in the US, only take up about ten percent of the population, and a lot of them are Republicans. You do the math, dude. You do the math.

Griff, that is no mathematics. A large percent of Christians are really not that good or faithful and thus are not a part of a religious voting block. What really needs to be done is a survey on whether or not religion was a major factor in voting decisions. Still, the religious left is smaller than the religious right given that Republican voting groups are more likely to have stronger religious ties than many of the Democrat voting groups. Still, just judging from the disadvantaged democrats and conservative democrats, the religious left can be somewhat of a force. Just those are also the groups that are more authoritarian so that trend scares me(just as the religious right is scary as well).

You're making the false and basesless assumption that the more liberal, leftist Christian is less faithful or interested in their religion as the conservative. This is no surprise considering your general contempt toward liberals, but the fact is that the Christian left is quite strong. Otherwise, the Dems would have sunk a long time ago.

No, I am not. My statement is true on the left and on the right. There are a good percent of truly religious democrats, in fact, I am friends with a few. The republicans are also often filled with empty Christians. The religious left IS almost undoubtedly smaller than the religious right though if only from looking at religious behavior reported by individuals in the republican and the democrat groups both found from the 2004 election and from the Pew typology tests. I think I tend to dislike the ideology if anything, I am not a liberal hater who likes to read Ann Coulter books, I also do keep up with a few left leaning sources of information as well. I really do like the blog Angry Bear which is left of center and with Slate magazine, which is considered a left-wing information source as well. I might be more influenced by my right wing and libertarian sources but I do not completely ignore all sources that disagree with me.

That is why the best idea is to remove your muscles from your body. It makes things more happyful.
