Who can I rob? What money can I steal?

At Sanders conventions, they actually dress up as "Robin Hood", because he promises to rob people.

right now the rich are stealing from the poor. bernie only wants to get back what is fair.

I think the rich should try to even the score quite a bit. But not to be forced to do it.

It's ridiculous to have billions of dollars floating around, and it's tied up in investments!

But stealing from them....is dead wrong.

Killing vís a vís greed is dead-er wrong. I'm not saying it's even humanly possible to be absolutely right but I would appreciate people exercising the backbone necessary to stop blithely daisy-picking the lesser of several evils.

I don't consider taxation stealing; if it were stealing, we'd all be victims.

I just wish there was a way to persuade the super-rich to pay their share of taxes. Appeal to their honorable side, so to speak.

I don't think we can rely on their honor. Considering how much money the super rich have poured into the political process to keep their taxes low, I don't think we'll get enough volunteers.

We just need to reverse all of the breaks the super rich have shoehorned in for themselves.

How would you feel if you were super-rich, and the government is always trying to force you to give up your money? And at the same time express resentment of their super-rich status?

Yeah....we have to have a more equitable distribution of money and resources, obviously.....

but we have to do it in such a way that we appeal to the guilt/good will of the rich, rather than incurring their resentment.

Whereas republicans will rob the ground underneath them at great cost to their own health in the worship of fast cash.

I think FDR's quote when he said "I welcome their hatred" has a lot of relevance. The super rich (not all of them, but a lot) already resent us and the government so I don't think that's an issue.

Also just to be clear, I don't think we should tax anyone so much that it affects their lifestyle. There are a lot of people in this country that have more money than can be spent in twenty lifetimes. And a lot of them did it by doing nothing other than moving numbers around in the stock market.
