Yeah....we have to have a more equitable distribution of money and resources, obviously.....
but we have to do it in such a way that we appeal to the guilt/good will of the rich, rather than incurring their resentment.
I think FDR's quote when he said "I welcome their hatred" has a lot of relevance. The super rich (not all of them, but a lot) already resent us and the government so I don't think that's an issue.
Also just to be clear, I don't think we should tax anyone so much that it affects their lifestyle. There are a lot of people in this country that have more money than can be spent in twenty lifetimes. And a lot of them did it by doing nothing other than moving numbers around in the stock market.
