I posted the list because the first President of the PA was Yasser Arafat who was head of the PLO and sworn enemy of Israel. The ideology of the PLO was formulated in the founding year 1964 in the Palestinian National Covenant. The document is a combative anti-Zionist statement dedicated to the "restoration of the Palestinian homeland". It has no reference to religion. In 1968, the Charter was replaced by a comprehensively revised version.

Still doesn't prove that the PA has been around since 1948. There's nothing wrong with trying to restore your homeland from murderous occupiers.

Some Zionists have been good people and fought for Palestinian rights. I'm not sure why an American would be pro-Zionist though.

America has had a pro-Zionism movement since 1897.The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), founded in 1897, was one of the first official Zionist organizations in the United States, and, especially early in the 20th century, the primary representative of American Jews to the World Zionist Organization, espousing primarily Political Zionism

Was that meant to answer my question?

Its as if everybody forgets that all of the Arab countries in the region have ganged up and attacked Israel on numerous occasions. The big concern now is that Iran wants atomic weapons to target Israel's large cities. I don't know what the answer is but Israel cannot just pretend the problem does not exist.

Exactly, except in my case it would never even occur to me that it should be apologized for.

Here is some on info your friend Finkelstein:

He was denied tenure from DePaul Universities for his "career".In September 2006, Alan Dershowitz sent members of DePaul's law and political science faculties what he described as "a dossier of Norman Finkelstein's most egregious academic sins, and especially his outright lies, misquotations, and distortions" and lobbied professors, alumni and administrators to deny Finkelstein tenure. In early 2007, the DePaul Political Science Department voted nine to three, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Personnel Committee five to zero, in favor of giving Finkelstein tenure. On May 23, 2008, Finkelstein was denied entry to Israel, according to unnamed Shin Bet security officials, because "of suspicions involving hostile elements in Lebanon" and that he "did not give a full accounting to interrogators with regard to these suspicions." Finkelstein had previously visited south Lebanon and met with Lebanese families during the 2006 Lebanon War. He was banned from entering Israel for 10 years. He has no credibility.

He wrote a book called the Holocaust Industry which is an anti-Semitic book. The book received a hostile reception in some quarters, with critics charging that it was poorly researched and/or allowed others to exploit it for antisemitic purposes. For example, German historian Hans Mommsen disparaged the first edition as "a most trivial book, which appeals to easily aroused anti-Semitic prejudices". Israeli Holocaust historian Israel Gutman called the book "a lampoon", stating "this is not research; it isn't even political literature... I don't even think it should be reviewed or critiqued as a legitimate book." The book was also harshly criticized by Brown University Professor Omer Bartov.Finkelstein absolves Swiss banks of serious misconduct towards Holocaust survivors and depicts them as victims of a Jewish terror based on a sentence from an important report annex, while he reportedly ignored the report body which describes deceitful actions by Swiss banks, inappropriate closing of accounts, failure to keep adequate records.Finkelstein has expressed solidarity with Hezbollah and Hamas with respect to defensive actions, alleging that Israel had invaded Lebanon as a signal of rejection when Hamas was seeking a diplomatic settlement with Israel. He also condemned what he said was Israel's refusal "to abide by international law [and] to abide by the opinion of the international community" to settle the conflict.Finkelstein has stated he believes Hezbollah has the right to target Israeli civilians

"...I'm not sure why an American would be pro-Zionist though."

Maybe we don't like people who walk into coffee shops with bomb vests on and killing and maiming innocent civilians.....over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and.....?????

Just a guess? They created their own PR with this type of perfidity. Something about this just rubs Americans "the wrong way." Can you understand this?

Don't you? You supported those types in Syria recently. You supported Afghans who threw acid in the faces of women during the 80's. You support Saudi Arabia who are blowing up schools in Yemen with your weapons. You support Israel when they blow up schools and hospitals in Gaza, pour chemical weapons over schools and hospitals in Gaza, blow up children playing football on a beach in Gaza. If you don't support the Palestinians resisting, because some lone maniacs blow themselves and civilians up, then why support state sponsored bombing of thousands of civilians?

Perhaps it's because you are paying for it with your taxes, and the American people must be kept ignorant of reality, because they wouldn't accept it otherwise, just a guess?

Is there a reason why you are unable to respond directly to a simple question????

Please just try to answer the question....it has nothing to do with unsubstantiated BS you offer as propaganda.

I've seen and heard this kind of nonsense for many many years....especially each time a new coffee shop in Israel was bombed and innocent lives ended or destroyed. Each time the killers would say "THIS" was because someone did such-and-such 50 or 100 or 1000 years ago. I'm quite tired of such c**p and don't enjoy you apologist types constantly serving up more.

If Sunni like to kill Shiite over ancient disagreements and they keep it in their own yard then, just like viscous street gangs they are allowed to fight battles between themselves; this is part of their life and heritage. BUT these are the same age old hatreds Muslims have dragged around after themselves for centuries, that they (or their leaders) will never die.

If slime ball agitators only want to explain their reason for condoning war and terrorism and are unwilling or unable to make peace then these people must be held in place like the vicious criminals they are. Which is what the Israelis are forced to do. If it were the United States and a neighbor suddenly began to attack with bomb vests in coffee shops and attacking and killing the children in our schools (remember how the noble soldiers of Islam like to kill children) we would not be so gentle, I assure you. You can confirm this by listening to others on this forum.

These killers must be treated like rabid dogs (no offence to dogs meant). You can not condone these viscous people.

The Partition Plan was in 1947, Zionist leaders accepted it, the Arabs didn't. The Zionists had been going on murderous rampages from 1947, and have never stopped. They declared statehood in 1948 after bribing their way into it, and Israel's borders weren't even specified. The Arab armies responded and Israel took more land than they had accepted in the Partition Plan, which the world let them get away with. They then attacked Egypt and Palestine again in 1967, stealing more land in the process.

Israel aren't even living in their legally recognised borders and never intend to, and they have stolen more land since 1967. Again, Israel is not a Jewish state. You need to brush up on your facts.

The Partition Plan was in 1947!! !! ! Which Israel accepted, in 1947!! This included half of the population being Arabs (including Bedouins), so how on earth would it be a "Jewish state" in reality? It still has a large Arab population. Also, most Israelis can't agree on what a "Jew" actually is.

Alan Dershowitz is a known liar and a plagiarist, he was one of O.J Simpson's lawyers and is under investigation for having sex with a child, so he's probably not the best guy to go by. Also, i'm not sure why you're telling me this, like I didn't know. I've seen their debate, where Dershowitz was humiliated, and have read "Beyond Chutzpah" where Finkelstein tears apart the book where Dershowitz is guilty of plagiarism. Then Dershowitz went on a rampage to get Finkelstein's tenure denied, because Dershowitz was livid with Finkelstein for exposing him as a liar and plagiarist.

Lol, yeah, it's cool that Israel ban Jews from Israel eh? Noam Chomsky is banned too, even though he was in a Kibbutz there as a kid. Well Finkelstein actually met with Hezbollah, which is probably another reason why they banned him, and used "security threat" as a pretext. But I guess we better just believe some random unknown guy from Shin Bet.

"He has no credibility."

"Finkelstein's place in the whole history of writing history is assured" Raul Hilberg, who was leading authority on Nazi Holocaust studies.

Here is some food for thought.

In the 1948 Palestine war, prior to the declaration of war on Israel by Transjordan, Egypt, Syria and Iraq, the Palestinian (they weren't called that at the time) armies were the Army of the Holy War and the Arab Liberation Army...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Liberation_Army
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_of_the_Holy_War

The commander of the Arab Liberation Army, Fawzi al-Qawuqji, was a colonel in the Wehrmacht.
The second in command of the Army of The Holy War, Hasan Salama, was a Schutzstaffel commando.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fawzi_al- ... ry_Service
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasan_Sal ... tion_Atlas

Quite the coincidence.

Hmm... I wonder what would have happened if Israel had lost the war in 1948.

Yeah, it received hostile reception from people and the kind of people who were guilty of blackmail. Until you've read the book, you really shouldn't comment on it. But as I showed in my previous post, Finkelstein was endorsed by Raul Hilberg, and Hilberg also endorsed the book saying that the Jewish organisations had been guilty of blackmailing Swiss banks. So who cares about those other three puppets that you mention. "Finkelstein absolves Swiss banks of serious misconduct towards Holocaust survivors and depicts them as victims" That's not true in the slightest. He fully states in the book that Swiss banks and US banks were guilty. The points made are that Jewish organisations overplayed the crimes and blackmailed the Swiss banks by saying that the Holocaust survivors were getting old and needed the money now and got way more than they should have, aka $1.25 billion, but then there was a second shakedown by the Jewish organisations. They now decided that Holocaust survivors could go on living for up to another 30 years and made it nearly impossible for the claimants to get compensation, so the organisations will keep the money instead. Uh yes, a country should defend itself when an invading army attacks! He says he respects Hezbollah for standing up to the invading army, and I agree. He's correct, Israel will stop at nothing to make sure the conflict isn't resolved in accordance with International Law and UN Resolutions.

"Finkelstein has stated he believes Hezbollah has the right to target Israeli civilians" Evidence?
