Me too. A nice little home defense pistol grip like this Mossberg. The power might knock me on my ass, but not before I can get in a good lick and shoot them a new a-hole.

I'm not big on pistol grips. Was thinking traditional style, 20 gauge would be easier for my wife to handle, but of course 12 gauge shells are easier to find.

But what makes you think your boy won't outlaw them? He's not strong on gun rights, or any rights. Everything's "negotiable" to him.

I have faith in my guy Trump, Brownback and The Big G(od).

GO TRUMP! GO KANSAS! GO BIG G!

I'll have to look into the 20 gauge you're talking about. I was thinking pistol grip because the other might throw my shoulder out of whack.

A pistol grip is fine as long as there is a shoulder stock, too. Both 20 and 12 gauge shells are plentiful since they are the two most common calibers for shotguns. You and the missus both need to be getting in some trigger time with whatever you choose. That old saying about "you can't miss with a shotgun" is urban legend hollywood BS. You might be better off with a handgun.

If he does get elected and starts that s**t he'll trigger another nation wide mass gun buying spree like what we had in '09 and '12.

Then stick with a handgun. A shotgun with only a pistol grip is only good for a gunfight inside a closet.

I have to say, that while punching a guy in the head unprovoked as he's leaving is unjustifiable, I can't muster too much outrage for people who show up to try and shout someone down and get hurt, I kinda don't mind that having consequences. Isn't speech having consequences a lefty thing theses days?

By the way...

nurseangela wrote:
Coming soon to your part of the country. And the Left says they don't believe in violence. Whatever. That 78 yr old man had the right idea when he popped that guy. If you think the Right won't fight back, think again.

Well, apparently, law enforcement disagrees, considering that the 78 year old man is now facing charges.

But clearly they are overreacting. After all, sucker punches are harmless.

Oh, and the sheriff just demoted three of the deputies who jumped the victim.

Sheriff Earl "Moose" Butler: Cumberland County NC wrote:
We have disciplined five deputies following a professional standards investigation arising from the events at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville at the Donald Trump for president rally on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

Three deputies were demoted in rank, and they were suspended for a period of five days each without pay for unsatisfactory performance and failing to discharge the duties and policies of the Office of Sheriff.

Two other deputies were suspended for a period of three days without pay for unsatisfactory performance and the failure to discharge their duties.

All five of the deputies have been reprimanded and placed in a probationary status for the next 12 months, and admonished not to fail to act and directed to comply with the requirements of Sheriff's Office policies concerning proper response to apparent criminal activity.

The actions of the deputies and their failures to act in situations such as that which occurred during the Trump rally at the Crown Coliseum have never been and will not ever be tolerated under the policies of this office.

In the past, these deputies have been vigilant, and have shown great bravery and fortitude, for example, when some of them encountered Andrew Michaelis, who was on a deadly shooting spree, killing his father-in-law and nephew and assaulting deputies with an assault rifle in Cumberland County on July 30, 2014.

I have taken into account the past bravery and exemplary conduct, including the life-saving and other actions of these deputies in assessing the discipline, and in imposing the sanctions.

We regret that any of the circumstances at the Trump rally occurred, and we regret that we have had to investigate all of these matters. Yet, it is our duty and responsibility to do justice, and to carefully examine not only the actions of others, but our own actions to ensure that the law and our policies are justly and fairly enforced based in principle and without other influences.

Trump has done so much garbage in the past. Just look it up. He makes fun of people with disabilities, hates Muslims, hates Mexicans and literally seems to hate anyone that disagrees with him. Trump also had that university that scammed tons of people out of money. That's just some of what he has done that is bad.

The other candidates arent perfect, but I highly doubt they've done as much bad stuff compared to him.

Just going to point something out though I am sure it will fall on deaf ears. Even if some groups who identify as being on the left would resort to violence that hardly means the entire left supports that. I myself don't believe in resorting to violence unless it's in self defense or you're defending someone else....and guess what I'm on the left.

And you're link says 'civil disobedience' since when is planning civil disobedience the same thing as 'threatening violence'?

Also clearly you aren't any better than anyone on the left who would support violence as you're sitting here defending violence from your side...so get off your damn high horse. If a right wing protester got punched at a rally for a left wing candidate I certainly wouldn't be defending the person who did it or making excuses for them for that matter.

The Right has been sitting down for too long. It's time WE stood up and fought for this country. The Left keeps talking negatively about billionaire Trump when (according to the article in black and white) the Left is being funded by George Soros who is much richer than Trump. Any argument about the rich taking over this country and it is all the Republican's doing is BS. Soros funded the Occupy Movement before and he is now funding the Democracy Spring movement and there will be violence because that is what he wants. The little 78 yr old punching that guy is just the start of things to come.

There is really going to be an uprising from the Right if there is an Open Convention like what the Rhinos are saying they want - a force out of Trump and Cruz and the putting in of Paul Ryan or Jeb Bush who are not even in the race. There's going to be fighting from all sides - the Left against the Right, the Right against the current Republicans - A Civil War. I fully expect Martial Law to be started before the end of the year.

People have the right to talk negatively about presidential candidates, you're going to have an uprising because people say negative things about Trump? People say negative things about Bernie and I'm not screaming for violent uprising and starting fights.

Also 'the left' is not a single big organized group, there are lots of different groups in the left just like there are lots of different groups in the right. Trying to generalize the entire left or entire right as some evil that needs to be taken down is ridiculous.

And what do you mean the guy getting punched is just the start of things to come? You think/hope other trumpkins are going to do even worse things or do you have plans of your own as well? Wow....just wow

The Left is going to march from Philadelphia to Washington? 140 miles? It is over, the Left could not waddle six blocks.

Besides, they are going to take ten days? Where will they sleep? Who packs the food? and will they march down the interstate, or crap along suburban routes?

They can bathe while swimming the Potomac.

If they are non violent, break no laws, why will thousands be arrested?

Thousands is hardly the largest protest ever in Washington, tens of thousands show up for the Cherry Blossoms.

Trump has brought together a string of flash mobs in the tens of thousands.

Any Trump event is larger than the National plan of the anti Trump players.

For the Left, I do not think they could reach the Pennsylvania border, and if they did the route through Maryland goes through Baltimore. On foot, at night, outsiders going through Baltimore?

On the Right, the Republican Leadership who plans to ignore the Delegates and the Rules and make Mitt Romney the Party choice, do face a riot, and being voted out of the party. The Delegates at the Convention, hold all the power of the Party. The Rules Committee is elected by the Delegates.

Trump Delegates will be more than half, and ready to win the White House. The rest would rather have a win for the Party even if it is not their man.

Trump forces have already won majority control of the Party.

The ones who claim to be Leadership are the ones who represent Donors. They have no power in a Trump victory.

They can only be spoilers, who would throw the election to Hillary if Trump will not bow down to money.

Donating money will buy some influence. The Party takes money even if Trump does not.

Using your money to block the Party from winning, also buys influence, a very bad influence, and if Trump is elected anyway, your faction is dead meat from now on.

Americans we are told are not very smart, and Trump supporters the worst. What they see is, this is the best chance in a long time to put the views of the general public in office. Not the Moneyed Interests, not the Party Leadership, but a Government by, of, and for, We The People.

The same Money is found buying the Leadership in both parties. There are two horses in a race, and you can bet on both. The win is the power of the strongest country on Earth. Republican and Democrat Leadership are trying to stop Trump. My word for this is Treason.

The vast majority of Federal Welfare is Corporate. These Welfare Queens fly in Private Jets to their Mercedes Limos in Washington, go to a Five Star Hotel, and pick up their check at Congress. They dine at the White House.

Banks, Brokers, Corporate Farming, Oil Companies, Insurance, Defense Industries, it is all the same, they receive trillions in special treatment.

They Tip those in Office, those in Political Parties who do their bidding.

A half billion "Donated" to Congress reaped Trillions for the Banks and Brokers.

Our Military Leadership is given jobs in Defense Contracting, after they represent the Government side in Defense Contracting. For them it is an application for future employment.

Trump forces Liberating the Republican Party is the first step in,

Making America Great Again.
