Evolution is the biggest lie ever told !
I love to read comments like this.
People want to deny scientific understanding that contradicts their religious beliefs, yet they are still willing to use all of the tools and reap the benefits that arose from that understanding.
I think the term is hypocrisy.
Science provides explanations for the world we experience. These explanations provide predictive utility.
Religion provides explanations for the world, but without any predictive benefit.
The theory of evolution has produced great benefits in medicine and helps us understand how what we do to the world will affect future states/conditions.
Religion would have us praying for healing and trusting to god(s) for the future condition of the world.
If OP really believed in what he posted, he would never take antibiotics/anesthetics again, stop going to the doctor and stop using his computer/car/all technology - all benefits of science.

Theory when stated as "the theory of evolution" has different meaning than "I have a theory."
The theory of evolution is the current understanding of how evolution happens, subject to refinment due to an increasing understanding. It also provides very good predictions. No scientist doubts evolution, but they might qubble on some of the details.
"Laws" are only scientific theories that have gone a long time without much change. Newtons laws of motion are still true, but we have a much better understanding of why they are true.

"Science is constantly proved all the time. You see, if we take something like any fiction, any holy book… and destroyed it, in a thousand years’ time, that wouldn’t come back just as it was. Whereas if we took every science book, and every fact, and destroyed them all, in a thousand years they’d all be back, because all the same tests would [produce] the same result."

Stephen Fry has some pretty good opinions on the matter as well:

I can see why some people need to believe in a god to keep themselves sane in this crazy world, but honestly I believe that the sooner we can put aside this ridiculous notion that there is an all powerful being in the sky, the sooner we can move forward as a race and concentrate on more important things like facts.

In my own experience I think it actually makes things worse. A deity who has us in situations of futility, apparently for our 'own good', and we get to wallow in how fragile and weak we are in the face of rather Machievellian pressures (eg. survival of the fittest as an undeniable key element of the moral landscape with all the toxicity that spills out from that) and, if we land in the right place, we leave this world far worse or more deranged than we came in by little more fault than having been in the right place at the right time through our childhood development. I can see why they'd feel the need to emphasize the devil so much and why more pantheist/panentheist ideologies are such a hard thing to sell over here, putting that all at 'God's feet is terrifying in its own right.

Mankind is incapable of guiding itself toward anything other than destruction.
"There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." --Proverbs 14:12 & 16:25

Creationism is a product of typical human arrogance.
In reality, humans are a very small part of a larger picture.
Creationists want to casually wipe all of that away and pretend that we exist at the center of the universe.

That fact does not even come close to dis-proving creation.

If you truly believe God made everything in 6 days then I have a question for you: define a day in the biblical sense. The only thing I ever see in Genesis is it was day, then night to define the day. OK, but is there any length to the day and the night? I've never seen any measurement of time in Genesis. Remember, this is YHWH, he is omnipotent and omnipresent. He can manipulate time any way he wants.
Given those assumptions, creationism and evolution can live harmoniously.
I believe that God made everything according to its own kind, whether it was 6 days, or 6 thousand years, I do not know. Evolution is a way to stamp out our Creator, God. It is used to control people. The very thing the atheists accuse Christianity of doing- evolution has done ten fold. Even the most die hard evolutionary scientists are questioning the validity of the Big Bang Theory.
In what way does evolution control people? Pretty sure religion has been used to control people a lot more than evolution has and there is actually historical documentation to show it. Also which evolutionary scientists are questioning the validity of the big bang theory?
Also though I am in no way a christian and don't want to be, even if your god was the creator, that doesn't nessisarily cancel out evolution...maybe he put the process in motion(not what I believe but still more believable than that adam and eve story). There are plenty of christians who believe in evolution alongside their religious beliefs.

Evolution stomps out God? Are you doubting His strength? Evolution has nothing to do with how the universe came into existence; it's a theory on biology, not cosmology. That's an error creationists keep making because the theory of evolution and the Big Bang are separate theories. They only appear alongside each other when scientists want to give a general history of the universe and life.
Scientists don't question the validity of the Big Bang. They are looking for more evidence and explanations for it which is hardly questioning the validity of it. The notion that evolution is made to control people is also laughable. I've never had anyone who accepted the theory of evolution (It's not something you believe in as it's not a belief) "preach" to me, only Baptists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Most of the US still banks on Christianity so the idea that evolution is somehow taking over is just ridiculous. In the Bible Belt, if you accept the theory of evolution, you will immediately be ostracized and asked stupid questions like "If we came frum munkies, why dew we still gaught munkies?" by dumb rednecks.

Robert T. Bakker, perhaps the best known paleontologist (Unless you are a redneck) and one of the scientists who sparked the "dinosaur renaissance", is a Christian. Someone like him I'll take the side of any day over quacks like Ken Ham and Kent Hovind.

Might disprove that some book constructed by disorganized scripts and bits of writing from ancient times, otherwise known as the bible contains the truth of how life on this planet was created and it certainly doesn't explain how the universe got here.
