My peacenik grandfather is from the generation that protested against Vietnam. He refuses to watch MASH because he thinks it's a warmonger show. If he ever bothered to watch it he would see that it has a strong anti-war message.

Bacon. A lot of people can't enjoy bacon because their religions (several) prohibit it.
Not that I'm a bacon fan, but I still enjoy the freedom of being able to choose whether or not I want to eat pork products.

Speaking of Pokemon and gambling, chess is also haram. Of course, like Pokemon, not all Muslims recognize this as being haram. For example, the Shafi'i fiqh of Sunni Islam allows chess (it's still slightly frowned upon to play chess); so, it depends on branch and school of thought (just wanted to clarify).
