My brother “taunts” me with “NI!” sometimes because my initials sort of spell that. :)

Certainly, I have nothing against the British people, nor their Parliament or Royals.

It's their news media ... why can't they leave the Royals alone?

They also gave us Sanford and Son----from Steptoe and Son.

And All in the Family-----from "Till Death Do Us Part."

Have you ever seen The League of Gentlemen? If you like the darker, surreal side of Python, then you’ll be probably enjoy that show. I’m a big fan of the group and I love Python too. Another British show that was also pretty surreal and anarchic was The Young Ones. That show never fails to cheer me up if I’m feeling down.

Many of the British rock-n-roll/pop shows were better than the American ones.

Top of the Pops, to me, was better than Bandstand.

ils ont l'air d'être les americains d'europe.

au fait, ils doivent commencer de construire vers le haut. l'île n'a plus de régions vraiment intactes... mais je ne sais rien

How do people in England feel about Scotland, Ireland, and Wales? Do you think they should all be a part of the UK or their own stand-alone countries?

I used to think that all four home nations should remain in the union but the events of the past few years have made me think again. I’m increasingly of the view that the union should break up and each nation goes its own separate way. After last week’s election result, I think the chances of that happening are now more likely.

When someone can be acerbic and hurtful without resorting to profanity.

The kind of person who is equipped with sarcasm, idioms, dry wit and word play in their arsenal.

If you regard yourself as from your (labour voting) local area or Scottish or Irish it's different

People who actually regard themselves as British miss the empire/want Brexit/want rid of immigrants more than they want better conditions for themselves in the workplace or with benefits or with the NHS

Some people on these islands are good and smart though. Like me. Tend not to be the type who fly union jacks

Everyone is less thick than the Yanks unless the Yanks are Bernie Bros. It's not a high bar to be smarter than a redneck and I'm starting to think England has its own rednecks (inbred rural people)

People abroad think the Brits are posh mostly because there's so much forelock tugging, really the Brits are chavs who can't think of a better way for themselves to be treated and are happy to be treated badly if it sticks it to the immigrants, the poc and the gays

Too many old people here read the Sun or the Mail. Young people tend to be smarter. That's because old people didn't go to uni or mix with people from outside their own town or village.

There are a lot of towns in England I wouldn't bother going to because they're 1 run down and 2 full of these kinds of attitudes. I've lived in them in the past. Even lived in the countryside which is the worst. Had to argue with some stupid woman that thought Enoch Powell was right. She was a proud Brit

Can't even bring themselves to criticise the monarchy after Prince Andrew scandal

(Yeah I'm being rude but you asked an aspie to be honest what did you expect)

My only comment would be that it's a mistake to think that all crass Rednecks are thick. Much of the rude, pigheadedness is a purpose. Underneath, they are capable of being very calculating. And when you consider that, what better disguise?
