That means I am omnivore, you can't change that no matter what you try to convince yourself otherwise.

Sure you can, just stop eating meat. I have vegetarians in my family, they are healthier than most meat eaters I know. What you're saying is complete nonsense.

Eh, doesn't mean all that much. It's more that vegans/vegetarians tend to be more conscious and careful with what they eat rather than any inherent superiority of their diet. Some of my closest friends are vegans, and subsist on a selection of vegan fast food options.

How do you stop yourself from bashing your head on a wall having to listen to their drivel about harming animals?

They're vegans, not a**holes.

Besides, when all of my friends turned veg, I went and became a licensed hunter. I just remind them who has the guns.

Why isn't their an options for vegetarians who are meat eaters? I feel like I've been erased.

I don't see why not. I identify as vegetarian because I like vegetables (corn syrup in my soda and potatoes in my french fries) with my meals.

I completely agree. I'm not taking the position that vegetarianism is superior, just that you can eleminate meat from your diet without major health complications.

P.S. For the record, my username has nothing to do vegetarianism or my diet. I am currently a meat eater.

I don't know any self-righteous vegetarians of that sort. Not personally, that is.

All the vegans I knew ended up hospitalized at some point. Always!

And were ordered to eat meat by doctors (especially liver, organ meat).

Look, even the chimps occasionally eat meat, and we're historically more meat-eaters than chimps; actually we wouldn't have evolved to humans if our ancestors didn't eat meat.

You can't just trick millions of years of evolution.

This story: https://www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/99111 ... killed-me/ ---> Is VERY common among Vegans.

I can't speak for the US but here in Australia there is a wider network of vegans who are the most annoying irritating creatures known to man. I have nothing against their lifestyle but the ones I come across are generally self-righteous and make those of us who consume meat feel guilty whenever the opportunity arises (like hanging around a self-righteous christian type whose only goal is to try and convert you to their beliefs),

There's plenty of sports stars and celebrities who are buff, fit and healthy vegans but the trick there is they have money for a dietician and personal trainer. They often have people who source their food from a hundred different places so they don't have problems you are talking about.

On the other hand an average joe living like a vegan has to make considerable effort to source affordable plant based foods and often "skimp out" which means trips to the doctor.

I've never had health problems being a vegetarian, and I've been one for most of my forty something years of life. its also easier now to get all the vitamins and minerals you need than it was twenty years ago, at least where I live it is. I have no idea why people get so sick. Lazy eating? Just doing spaghetti every night? I don't know.

I've known some pushy' self righteous vegans over the years, had a few of them chew me out for having the nerve to eat honey or use some product or whatever. It gets on my nerves. My ex used to get more crap from non vegetarians/vegans though. I don't have that experience. The crap I've gotten has always been from vegans. I get it, vegan is a way of life, kindness to animals and all, but damn. I love animals, but my diet isn't about ethics, it's about what will make me sick to my stomach or not. Like gimme a break, people.

I know one vegan like that IRL. Needless to say that we ain't friends. I do have a few vegan friends, but those ones mind their own business as long as I mind mine. As in, they don't complain about me eating meat and I don't complain about them not eating meat.
