Merriam-Webster - “Sexual Preference” is an offensive term
I remember Candance Owens saying in one of her videos that she was born conservative and her whole family was liberal and she went to a all liberal school.
She also told about how she faced racism for the very first time in high school, some kid said something racist to her, she was offended but he later apologized for it and she forgave him. She was totally confused when everyone was telling her she needed to seek revenge and destroy this child and she can't move on from it. To her it was over, the kid apologized and she moved on. In this scenario I would say I totally agree with her and no one gets to tell someone how they shall feel when they were a victim of something. She was willing to forgive and move on and not waste energy being mad for being a victim of racism. She didn't get beaten up or anything and she felt her justice was served when the kid apologized. It's like how my brother just accepted a bad grade from his choir teacher because he just wanted to move on and to him it was over, he didn't have to deal with her anymore and her harassment and he was willing to just take some extra classes to get into collage for that bad grade she gave him in retaliation. My parents backed off and didn't take any action or tell him how he should be feeling about it.

In a kind, I'm an example of the opposite - my parents are hardcore conservatives, while my mind - curious, more prone to dissatisfaction than fear or disgust, better in spotting exceptions than rules - definitely fits the "liberal" description. My political views drifted quite far away from my parents'.
However, politically, I'm more anti-partizanship independent than really liberal.

Candace Owens is also a grifter that changed her political views once she found out that she can make money by being a token black person for conservatives in telling them what they want to hear and counter narratives regarding black people that would sound too troubling coming from a white person. Like one of her recent roles was pretty much sniping at all black victims of police brutality to use the "not an angel" defense for why it was okay that they got killed. And running the whole Blexit thing.
In regards to political views being hardwired, there does seem to be a certain level. I believe that there was a discussion a few months ago that pointed at common brain makeups for being Left and being Right. The brain most common in a Right wing person had something like a larger amygdalae, which has something to do with processing fear and aggression to perceived threats, and something about grey matter that make them more prone to disgust. And the more Left wing brain is more likely to have a larger volume of grey matter in the anterior cingulate cortex, a structure of the brain associated with emotional awareness and the emotional processing of pain, pretty much empathy.
Pretty much gives me the belief that what side one is on the political spectrum is not necessarily hardwired, people do tend to have common brain structures that might push them to a political side. The Right wing more about perceived threats and seeing things as disgust, and the Left wing more about empathy and harm reduction. This is how you get ridiculous sounding things to the Left where Ben Shapiro says that empathy is bad for politics, probably because it gets in the way of fearmongering, when politics should be all about empathy.
You also get projections from the Right when they see the Left arguing about Trump, where the Right thinks that the Left is just using the "orange man bad", that it matches their common thinking of using fear and disgust, while actually being more empathy and understanding pain of victims. The common right wing brain thinks that the left is saying that they are all evil inherently, while it is actually the ring wing brain that is more likely to create fear responses and other people.
It probably could go so far in processing what this topic is about. The common right wing brain is more likely to have a fear response about a phrase being deemed offensive and might feel that fear that other phrases might be made so such that they may be censored, especially if they already feel disgust over homosexual people. The common left wing brain on the other hand is more likely to consider an emotional awareness to why "sexual preference" might offend people and understand that pain. Someone with a common right wing brain might wonder why the left is not being afraid of words suddenly being considered offensive, and someone with a common left wing brain would wonder why the right can't seem to empathise with why people would consider it offensive.

So she is a political troll then.
Something about her never made sense and it was contradictory, she mentions her ancestors and grandparents were victims of lynches and harassment they would get back in the days and now she acts like none of this is a issue now they face today with racism. Sure none of the lynches happen anymore but racism has evolved.
