Instead, I would teach kids to accept that we sometimes have to do things we don't really want to do because they're for the good of society, in this case especially elders and the immunocompromised. Kids aren't stupid - but if they're ignorant; teach them about basic science of germ theory and virology.

Kids I know are all doing very well with accepting very limited social interactions + mask wearing, distancing, hand washing etc. And there's very little government overreach going on around here, that's for sure. They're not asking all that much of us, really.. they're simply asking us to respect one another and not spread a potentially lethal virus that has all kinds of other health implications for many survivors. Not all that much to ask, really.

To the contrary, there have been complaints about the government doing too little to respond, not being strict enough, not locking things down fully & better - liiiike, why have international flights been landing here non-stop? etc.

That makes one of us! I would teach my kids that our government doesn't always care about how their actions affect us, as well as the difference between legislature-approved laws and governors' virtue-signaling. It would also vaccinate (ha!) him/her against the socialist indoctrination public schools will undoubtedly push onto him/her.

You need to read more, and not just CNN, Yahoo, and the mainstream crap. The Covid rabbit hole goes so deep, you're hitting the Earth's core.

Now you're starting to understand the conservative view. As the people in my Q group say, it was never about the virus. It was about changing society for the worse, and the sheep are falling for it. Because why else would Democrats support huge crowds of unmasked looters---heck, they planned the lootings in the first place, like giving looters immunity from arrests---but criticize law-abiding people for having parties?

Then again, it's all a wash for me. Thanks to the information the group provides me, I know about bars and restaurants that have been defying lockdowns since day one; that's where most of our gatherings took place. I also know how to be discreet, like parking at a nearby Walmart (an "essential business" ), rather than at the illegal restaurant. Even if I'm arrested for attending a Q party, most judges will dismiss the case, because governors' personal whims aren't laws. Although the decent months, the group gatherings aren't as frequent, since Democrat-approved social gatherings are back for the most part.

Teach kids science and critical thinking skills.

Will you also teach your kids that being anti-authoritarian is an aspie trait and that's why you perceive all government, laws, rules and regulations as cynically as you do?

Will you also teach them that Half A MILLION Americans died because of people blindly believing in identity politics? Siding with their republican talking heads instead of the science that transcends politics and is based only in objective reality?

If you wanna believe that the Earth flat you are free to believe that.

But when you enter a public website expect push back if you expound upon that belief and, dont expect folks to be sympathetic.

Dont come onto a public website and ask "how can I indoctrinate my children into believing that whole education system is wrong, and that the Earth is really flat?" like you're asking "how can I clean the black iron burners on my stove top?". And expact folks to just...give you advice...like theyre gonna tell how to use Bon Ami cleaner.

The fact that you have a fringe belief is one issue. But the fact you seem totally unaware that it IS a fringe belief is something else.

I dont expect you to give up your fringe belief (that this whole social distancing thing is somekind of government power grab). But I politely ask you to please be more socially aware. Stop it with this "just wow...I cant believe that all of you here on this website are blind to the truth that the Earth is really flat!".

Apparently ...you are one of the few who...have the inside track- on the true pizza shape of the planet. The rest of us are not privy to that yet.

Those numbers are falsified, in order to justify the government overreach I want to teach my hypothetical kids about. In other words, if someone who has Covid dies of anything at all---from a boating accident, to a severed artery, to a seft-inflicted gunshot, to a suffocation---their death is classified as a death from Covid. Since people die in many different ways, the numbers add up. That's why I want to teach my hypothetical kids that 99% of what the government says is a lie and/or an excuse to justify taking away your Constitutional rights forever, while giving themselves and their lackeys full freedoms. Think about how Democrats threatened to arrest citizens for having parties, but gave full arrest immunity to Marxist criminals looting America's downtowns. Kids need to know that stuff as soon as it's age-appropriate!

To protest against system racism & police brutality against BIPOC? That those are the reasons that 2020 was a Summer of protests - the largest civil/human rights movement in the USA since the late 1960's?

Are you also going to teach them that as taxpayers Americans employ public health experts like Virologists who are responsible for guiding people safely through pandemics, and that they have the authority to place restrictions on social gatherings in order to prevent the spread of a deadly disease? That that's why unnecessary social gatherings have been banned not only in the USA but in virtually every single country on Earth as we science the s**t out of SARS-COV-2 in order to come up with effective vaccines against it & it's variants so that we can then go on with life as usual w/o the whole ~3M people/year dying from COVID-19? Are you going to teach them those things? Or just how to fold tinfoil hats and shout at 5G cell phone towers?

I'm sure you have evidence to substantiate the underlined. That seems like the sort of thing everyone should be made aware of if there's proof of it.
