The the things that most likely cost Hillary the election was when she called a portion of Trump supporters "deplorables," and Bernie Sanders supporters "basement dwellers." That kind of arrogance isn't going to get you elected, it's only going to alienate people.

She should have reached out to them and given them a reason to vote for her.

the main reason i'm still a democrat is loyalty that is they did the heavy lifting to finally get some kind of health care financing reform into law, even if it is an awkward and mediocre kludge. that is aside from the fact that they are outright less evil [but much more naive] than the gee oh pee.

Rich people vote Republican because there's a lot of money in it for them.

Poor people vote Republican because they're easily fooled into believing there's something in it for them...

And let's not forget, Republicans are actually in the minority here (especially after 2020). The electoral college really helps to boost their voting power, as does voter suppression in densely blue areas.

Anti-illegal immigration was the #1 issue for some of my family members that work manual labor construction type jobs.

They feel that Democrats are OK with "exploiting" workers with cheaper labor.

Not strange at all.  After their Dear Leader essentially outed himself as an arrogant, ignorant buffoon who has total disregard for both The Law and common decency, it only makes sense that some of them would hang their heads in shame and pretend to have never supported him.

The rest were banned for violating The Rules.

Covid cases are up over 50% over the last week or two in some states - mostly red ones, almost entirely amongst the unvaccinated. As David Pakman pointed out, "I don't even want to Think about what's going to happen in the Fall." Come cold and flu season, if these people don't get vaxxed, a whooooooole lot more people are going to die for no reason other than they trust right wing politicians and propaganda talking heads more than Doctors & Scientists.

I suppose if there is a bright side to this, and it's a morbid one, it'll be that it's going to mostly be older republican voters who die.. diminishing the numbers of people who actually vote considering older people tend to vote more regularly than younger people. So, if this is how they save American Democracy, by sacrificing their lives not for the Dow but for the D (Democracy), then so be it I guess. Thanks guis! 8)

Our cases are up and hardly no one is wearing masks and the people in the grocery all wear theirs below the nose.
I have a N95 now and always wear it in public.
Many people in this region don’t trust the government. The black population remembers the medical experiments done to them and the poor whites don’t believe what the government says.
It crosses both party lines.
You will find higher vaccinations in the cities and lower in rural areas.People also seem in denial that covid will find its way into remote rural areas.
So basically a lot of poor people of all colors will die, not just older republicans.

Obviously, and not their fault the schools here in rural areas and urban areas stink.

Aren't the odds in his favour of returning in 2024? the MAGAs haven't been deprogrammed yet.

He might be in a nursing home by then.
I can’t see Melanoma changing his diapers or feeding him.

Ronnie Reagan ran the US while having dementia for 4 years. The MAGAs can prop him up with stilts or something at rallies.
