Freelance tax collecting is frowned upon in the US, even if our citizenry possesses the hardware to make it happen. It's actually kind of surprising to me we don't shoot our politicians more often all things considered, the last guy to make a serious try was actually a disgruntled Bernie Sanders volunteer, another unexpected twist. His aim wasn't very good though, and he used an obsolete Soviet rifle, which just goes to show what happens when you leave a job to the socialists... :lol:

It seems we need to do 'Small Business Saturdays' in order to give small businesses much-needed boosts quite a few times year - not just the Saturdays after the U.S. Thanksgiving:

I'd say the attitude on the right is more like no one wants to go first, they're all afraid of being a lone gunman who gets written off as a nut rather than being part of a full blown revolution. The spirit is there, they're just still too comfortable.

I, for one, do not support Communism -- stealing from the wealthy to give to the poor might have worked for the fictional Robin Hood; but reality dictates otherwise. If anything, our taxes should go into infrastructure, law enforcement, public safety, and education. Direct cash hand-outs do nothing to improve these systems.

I don't think it's communism for the wealthy to pay taxes to support the society that creates their wealth with it's labour.

I don't particularly care for modern capitalism as it's led to the most extreme wealth divide in recorded history.

Unless, of course, we're all cool with the supply and demand of plebs eating the rich, or waging war against them for their economic crimes of wealth hoarding while people suffer - especially since they've been paying lobbyists to manipulate laws that benefit them financially to the detriment of the working class. If uprisings of commoners are totally kosher, then by all means, let the free market (which isn't such a free market when it's bought and paid for via lobbyists and corrupt politicians) decide everything - including which billionaires get decapitated, I guess.

What I support is a high marginal rate on very high earners coupled with either a UBI or a reverse income tax, in order to provide a "floor" of support for people on the bottom. It's actually more efficient in the end, we'd pay a whole lot less for police and prisons and social workers if fewer people were desperate for money, and it solve the problem of demanding that businesses be responsible for their workers in a way that was never intended and isn't workable. I'd also cut out a lot of traditional welfare the bloated bureaucracy attached to it in favor of direct cash payments, make the whole process as efficient and frictionless as possible.

I'd also really like to go after finance as an industry, far too often it really is parasitic, extracting money from the economy for no benefit and great costs, and in my estimation, acting as a brain drain for the best and brightest who'd be better put to use in fields other than moving imaginary numbers around to break the system and get rich.
