Does antiracism Betray/harm Black America?
Just because it is anti white it does not makes it less racist or less bad.
Antiracism wont solve one single problem plaguing black communities, especially inner cities ones.
Precisely.

White people don't really have a racial identity as such in the US, so there really isn't a similar term. Give it some time though, enough of this woke anti white messaging might just change that, and likely not for the better.
Dude. You just fed him two lies.
Whites do have 'a racial identity' in the US. The old Jim Crow Laws even legally defined the terms "White" and "Black".
And second Whites cant 'sell out' to Blacks even if they tried to-- for the obvious reason that Whites are already the ruling group. The powerless "sell out" to the rich and powerful. The rich and powerful dont sell out the poor and the powerless. So the reason for the asymmetry in words is because of the asymmetry in power. Not because "Whites have no identiy".
I think you mean most white people don't think about their identity in the US. This is probably true. But while they don't self-identify themselves, they rarely look at a PoC and not see colour.

You ever spent time in the US? It's a big country and the media does not portray it kindly Where and when?

I've been to the US three times but admittedly California/Arizona/Hawaii which is probably not representative.

To me when people say they don't see color, it means they often don't think about race and they see everyone as the same race and same specie. This is how children see color. But apparently having this child like view about race is racism itself according to POC activists and just as harmful as racism they say. I had to listen to them to understand how this would be harmful as racism.

How long? All three listed states have a separate color identities and both positive/negative division between all. It's difficult to look at anyone and not see the literal color of their skin. It's just observation. Hawaii is really interesting wrt to the culture division, one of the strongest elements away from the big island. It's basically the same as I saw in Perth when I spent a week there. People should be proud of their own identity and be proud for others.

Don't get me wrong, I think you can't blame people for not thinking about race, it is technically the world that MLK was aiming for, But you are correct, at the moment people saying this are probably paying lip service. Even the most liberal person is going to have a heart attack if their daughter brings home a PoC but even if their kid's school is "multicultural" or new neighbors are "foreign looking" then these things are noticed.

Yes. It WAS supposed to be a virtue to "not notice color". Meaning just to not descriminate. From the Sixties onward the whole point of fighting racism was to be "colorblind". Some folks really ARE innocent and dont notice race. But most folks have to strive to ignore it. And some even took things to far, and to literally, and made a fetish out of literally pretending to not notice a person's race. Not just not descriminating, but literally not seeing race. You couldnt refer to "Urban music" as "Black Music". And if your boss was the one Black guy standing in group of white guys across the room, and someone asked "who is your supervisor?" you had to dream up myriad ways to describe him (he is the tall guy- but three of the four guys are tall, etc) WITHOUT mentioning that he is "Black". It was laughable.
But NOW the hyper woke, and the extreme PC, are telling us all...THE OPPOSITE! That its racist to BE colorblind.
So it easy to make fun of the latest trends in whats supposed to be pc and how they seem to contradict what MLK preached.
But here is the thing. We have life experiences like this.
Back in the 80s I had some kind of issue with my store manager boss. Mom told me to notice ...the obvious...about her. That she is young, Black, and female. Three strikes against folks taking her seriously, and that I should take that into account. Immediately I got along better with my boss after that talk with mom. Young folks, especially aspie young folks, often need to learn to look at things from the other person's pov. And that sometimes includes noticing their skin color - to figure out where they are coming from. So yes- there is a grain of truth to this newfangled stuff that these crazy woke people say. Sometimes it is harmful to ignore race. Real life is contradictory.

I'm afraid the "anti-woke" backlash is coming from people who continue to see race as important but not for reasons of letting go of the past. They want to not let go of any social benefit their social status or the lifestyles they enjoy but now they can use the term "woke" to attack any progress PoC make. It's all a ruse.
It doesn't matter what you see visually, what matters is your self acknowledgment and that should be another human. We are a society that has a natural law, all humans are created equal. De-humanizing is wrong and crosses the moral line. There is a fallacy to this law; we know it's not true. All of us are unique and different, it's a spectrum. Kismet. Equity is not a right or part of this natural law.
There is an equilibrium point where social movements reach a point where a consensus is reached on how much extra is needed before we reach that point where all humans are "treated equally". Judging from how black people are reacting in America in 2022 the systemic barriers they face are still there.
How are you judging from over there? You think my anecdotal experience on my fourth crossing of the US would outweigh your view from the screen? Where do I vote in this social movement, are there dues that I forgot to pay to remove my systematic barriers? No, we only have natural law and individual free will. Equity is not a right.
