I honestly don't mind trans people in the slightest. I speak to one regular as clockwork every Saturday, I just dislike people hurling the transphobia slur around (in general, not here yet at least) for acting on concerns outside the scope of simply being "trans"

Sports banning is biological, hormone drugs on kids is medical and welfare, certain pronouns might be grammatical. To be transphobic there needs to be a hatred of trans people, not a secondary concern, like grammar or medical where I think people start to erroneously draw connections to transphobia.

Transphobia is hatred of trans people for being trans. Most issues with trans people today is everything but the fact they're trans.

If someone shot me there would need to be evidence linking it to hatred of me being an autistic for it to be a bigoted attack.

Secondly, this thread is implying seriously systematic hatred of them which isn't what's going on.

it becomes transphobic because none of these things have been a problem until trans people are involved.

sports banning- very strong cis women with naturally high testosterone are A-OK to compete. trans women with the same levels? No way!

hormone drugs: cis women with naturally low estrogen that could affect their health? sure, they can have hormones! no problem! trans women want estrogen? Woah there sis, let's have a psychological screening and a 2-year waiting list first.

grammatical errors: "I just spoke to the doctor." "Oh, what'd they say?"

Problems are created to marginalize undesirable groups.

I don't like the thought of giving hormone drugs to kids or letting male to female trans people compete against women. That's pretty much all my gripes.

If you believe in this, why not get into a boxing match with a male to female trans boxer?.....or wil lyou get cold feet?

Trans people have a advantage in sports. They need to compete in their own group. More and more sports bodies are banning for a reason and it's about time. Going from 400th in men's to 1st in female swimming for example......yeah that's a problem.
