Not everything is going to be relevant to every poster on WP. I will say that learning about abortion from a female perspective could help male members develop compassion and understanding which could help with friendships and relationships.

This would be mutual though.

If you want to create a thread to develop compassion for autistic male virgins, make one, but this thread should not be deleted.

If it wasn’t for my son, I’d still want to be a virgin. I’ve only had bad sex. No sex is better than bad sex.

If utter crap analogies that are tone deaf to many members here and their circumstances are used then so be it, but the male members can attack such crap analogies.

I take it you're OK with abortions are 8 months and 3 weeks then?

I'm OK with the UK abortion laws.

I know someone that works at Canada Customs. They told me that a bunch of the too good to be true diet pills sold on the internet that are shipped in from China are capsules with tapeworm eggs in them. For real. There are people out there who believe some weird pull they bought off the internet is melting away their fat but in reality they’ve got tapeworms robbing them of nutrients.

Sigh... It's not even L&D but already there's "Men have it worse" noise here.

This thread has nothing whatever to do with dating - it's about abortion and is based on a tapeworm analogy for a zygote/embryo.
Please keep the discussion to that.

L&D isn't about to vanish so relationship difficulties can be discussed in an appropriate thread, there.

This thread is not solely about autistic male virgins. People can take it personally if they want to, but that’s not its purpose.

Threads in PPR tend to be about universal topics, not just the autistic community.

I know exactly what the purpose of this thread is given the recent hostilities against abortion in the US....but it does half strike me as misandrist while also being posted to the least appropriate audience.

It needs to be taken into account that a lot of male members here, and autistics in general haven't even had sex.

So what if you haven't had sex?

Many members here are voting Americans.
Many members here have sisters, female friends, and women they care about.

Many members here care about equal rights for all human beings.
Many members here might have sex one day and should know the stakes.

Abortion isn't just about mothers.
It's about father's rights too (being forced to pay child support, etc.)

Overweight people used to take sweat baths thinking they would sweat off the weight.
It doesn’t work or the South would have the thinnest people instead of the chonkiest ones.

There was an Englishman in the 19th century who traveled around the world.. through poor tropical parts of Africa and Asia. Before he embarked he had himself deliberately infected with a tape word. It gradually grew longer and longer. But it ate up all of the other parasites in his body...so it protected him when he ate the local food and drank the local water.

"Fred", as he called his constant campanion grew to like 30 feet long. When he got home he had surgery and got rid of it, and said "goodbye" to "Fred". Believe it or not. Thats what I remember Jack Palance telling me at the start of the 80s TV series "Ripley's Believe it or Not". Palance used the simple but effective prop of a tape measure being gradually pulled out his fist as he described Fred's growth, and then he tossed the tape ruler into the trash at the end when the guy and Fred parted ways. Sorry. Cant find that particular episode on Utube.

Truly, a fetus does behave as a parasite as it takes its nourishment from its host, at the host's expense. Many girls and women become ill (sometimes for the rest of their lives) or die because of pregnancy. Even a wanted baby-to-be takes quite a toll on its future mother, and our society tends to overlook it because, awww...babies are totes adorbs, motherhood is just heavenly...and don't you dare say otherwise.

If people don't like the tapeworm analogy, I'd ask them to think about transplanting an embryo or fetus into a man's body, assuming medical science develops the means--and before you say that's impossible, I'll point out that once upon a time, so was organ transplant and cloning. Say, doctors remove a man's appendix and whatnot to make some room and so on...how many men would go for that?

Things that make you go "hmm."

I recommend that anyone who has difficulty with these concepts research the metaphysics of pregnancy, particularly the Containment View vs the Parthood View.

I've posted such links before but got no response (surprise surprise).

A tapeworm is certainly not a fetus but a fetus is not a baby. I prefer the option for abortion for any reason to be available to all (within sensible time limits) but a tapeworm analogy is a weak comparison.

To accidentally have a baby is a very privileged position to be in from the perspective of people on an autistic forum too...many of who can't even lose their virginity, yet alone "oooops, I'm pregnant"

Idk not really a privilege if you don't want a baby. Also, idk having kids was the last thing on my mind when I lost my virgnity. If I had gotten pregnant it would have been 'sh*t I need an abortion' not 'oops I'm pregnant' that would have been horrifying at the age of 19 in a college town far from home.

I'll reiterate. "Oops I need an abortion" is a privileged position to be in when posting such content to a website where many people 30+ years of age struggle to lose their virginity, both male or female due to developmental shortcomings.

I find your posts in this thread incredibly tone deaf and f*****g insensitive.

There has always been plenty of room on WP for people to talk about their issues with finding someone. It’s not typically a topic that’s conducive to PPR, though.

TwilightPrincess I'm surprised at you. How can you be concerned with a mere trifle like losing your right to bodily automany when we are dealing with the CRISIS of a man who can't get laid! /veryHeavySarcasm

I agree with all of it, it's just such a strange analogy to make, to the point of making no sense.
