Believe it or not, the architecture of WP is identical to College BBS forums from 1989 and this persisted into the early 2000s, topix forums also had the same architecture and there were country specific, history and other forums using this form aimed at particular interest groups.
I'd go with not believing it.
This forum is based on phpBB, which wasn't released until late 2000.

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.

No not at that level. I mean Board indexes with various topics. I think the original template hasn't changed in 40 years.

The basic format predates that software, but architecture kinda implies what actually underpins it instead of just the basic details.
It's like how a Camaro and Monaro share the same general layout, but never the same platform.

Yep, understand. From my perspective, the user experience was similar except the speed back in 1989 was slower and we needed to be more patient.

That makes sense. From the driver's seat there's not that much different between a Falcon and a Camaro, except the Falcon might have back doors.

Oh, and what side you sit on.
