I tend to think along lines of what the original design would have been, like in Genesis 1:29-31 Although I can't be a vegan in my parents' house, that is what I want to be later on.
The word Veda closely resembles Yeda (the Hebrew for Knowledge) - and this isn't so far-fetched after all the sons of Abraham by Keturah settled in the region and were knowledgable in the arts of healing.
I would have thought that they would be sons of Joktan as in:
Genesis 10:26-30 KJV
(26) And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
(27) And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
(28) And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
(29) And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
(30) And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
Who would also be related to the Chinese, some of the Chinese also being related to Gomer through Togarmah as one Chinese legend I had read stated. It also stated that the name of Noach's wife is Ga-Boluen.
I'm also related to Gomer, who according to Josephus, was the ancestor of the Germanic tribes such as the Celts, Gauls, and the Ashkenazim(Germans); I am French and Irish.
Yes, I have wondered if the Abraham descended from an tribe that wandered out of India. The most popular of the yantras (like a mandala or meditation diagram) has something that looks suspiciously like a Star of David, and it is probably older than Judaism. The Gypsies are relatively recent migrants from India, but their language, culture and physical traits, etc are not obviously Indian.
Course, the star on the yantra might be a coincidence - it is a pretty basic geometric pattern.

He moved from the Sumerian city of Ur around 266 years after Babel.
I don't have to watch the movie, just reading the article is quite clear enough. The use of the word "intention" reminds me of Life Training's use of the word, "purpose". They had a series of special courses , called "People on Purpose", and an entire "process" with some acronym, RIVAS, which was to help you find and get into "your real purpose". It's the same sort of suggestion that if you can just get in touch with your real purpose, and with what is "true for you" then your life will have no limits. There was a whole weekend course with a title i've forgotten but including the word "will".
And always at the back the horrible implication, as Anbuend states so much more eloquently, that if your life is not great then you have only yourself to blame. And it really is horrible.

Ur is a stone's throw from Pakistan/India and the hearth of the Indus civilization (which flourished from 2600–1900 BCE, and its population spilled over to other areas). Ok, not a stone's throw ... a few days walk.

I read that too somewhere.
The birth of western civilisation, ( the neolithic revolution from 12,000 onwards), the first religions and earliest agriculture, took place in the area where the first ever source of gluten appeared ,( grass plant mutation after end of last ice age, around 13,000 BC ) in the Fertile Crescent. Around northern Iran/k and eastern Turkey.
Who knows how the food opioid in wheat affected human brains?! !

Well, I think if we go back that far, we are operating on different world views. While I believe that Biblical genealogy is pretty accurate from Abraham towards the present, I think that going back any further is dubious. And I don't believe in young Earth creationism or a literal Adam and Eve as the first people. Archaeology accepts the idea that there were people in China more than 6000 years ago (when the literalists believe the Earth was formed). And those Asians migrated from Siberia across the Bering Straits to populate the Americas 10,000 years ago. They became the American Indians.

It's probably connected... a lot of the peoples/cultures/religions of the area borrowed from one another various ideas and aspects and, on a more readily identifiable level, imagery and patterns. From a classical history pov it's fascinating. I love all this!
[The food thing - I'm virtually vegetarian with no egg and no dairy (bar yoghurt and the very occasional bit of blue cheese), will eat fish though, and red meat maybe once a month or so. I follow what could roughly be called a paleolithic diet; no sugar (well, perhaps a sweet once a week or so), hardly any grains, mostly just veges, fruit, nuts, seeds, and the occasional bit of fish. No caffeine and rarely anything packaged, though I'm not overly obsessive about it so I will eat packaged food if I have to, for example if I'm out and about and there's nothing else available. I found that since I cut the 'crap' and switched to what's probably a 90% organic diet I've had masses more energy, been more alert and awake and 'with it'... better all round.]
