Determinism, non-determinism or free will.

Option 1: The universe is deterministic, and every event that ever happens is dependent only on the universe's initial conditions. Advocated by Newtonian and Einsteinian physics.
Option 2: The universe is non-deterministic (random), and everything is controlled by "dice rolls" beneath the surface of reality. Advocated by many interpretations of quantum mechanics.
Option 3: The universe is controlled by mind(s) (either ours or God's). Advocated by most religions.

I have no idea which is the right answer (or if there is only one right answer), and I believe anyone who claims they do is probably deluding themselves.

[threadjack]I'm a "Modal" or "Probabilistic" Determinist, a position based of the "Many Worlds AKA Parallel Universes" interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. So I'm a mix of #1 and #2.[/threadjack]
