They got in the way, probably. If you've ever bumped your tailbone, imagine having a short tail and continually getting it caught on branches. It just didn't make sense to keep the thing.

I don't think a small tail would be that bad?? It would be kind of cool to still have a tail.

Maybe you are less attractive to the opposite sex if you have a tail.

Whatever.

Planaria are true animals, by the way, and many reproduce sexually.

Evolution eliminated long tails in humans after rocking chairs were invented.

Before humans lost their tails they used to sleep in their clothes closets hanging from the crossbar by their tails. The invention of the bed and the bedroom revolutionized human society and generated the pornographic industry.

hey you could use your tail in the porn industry.

To a large extent the porn industry is involved with a piece of tail.

Well, would you look at that! Those choanoflagellates sure like to attach themselves to things, don't they? I wonder where else this skill could be applicable?


Choanoflagellates of a feather flock together, as the saying goes! Wow...if these guys were more organized, they could almost make themselves look like a blastocyst with a bunch of little tails! Are those specialized cells I see?


Those choanoflagellates should take lessons from human stem cells. This human blastocyst sure knows where his towel is! Or is that a she?


Human embryoes like to attach themselves to things, too!

When you talk about the digestive system. We are basically a worm (intestines) with bones and muscles to protect us.
