To gay marriage backers:

Wow oscuria you really do have issues with this topic. Are you sure you aren't a closet case? As for opinions, yes everyone has the freedom of speech but when crossing the line by segregation, it kind of contradicts the freedom of speech you expressed earlier. If anyone shared the same trollish views as you, there would probably be a 4th Reich. Hitler exclusively hated anyone espeacially Jews with his odd assumptions, and as leader he got to do away with them then hate begot hate. Also comparing whatever rainbow color you are to Hitler just wouldn't be a good excuse. There are a lot of leaders like Hitler around the world. Your opinion is respected, but when you go about attacking opinions and a group of people you hate for some reason or another by means of bafflegab clearly tells me you do not respect the freedom of speech hence hypocrite.
You are paranoid to believe I would be a cause of the 4th reich when considering homosexuality (or in my case, transsexuality). Really, it's a big straw. I've nothing against ethnicities. I believe the whole idea of "racial superiority" to be ridiculous at best. Besides, I wouldn't be accepted as a Nazi.
I've never expressed hate, so you are living up to your name. I'm not out beating homosexuals near death. I've no reason to, and would despise anyone that would do such a thing. Where have I advocated violence? I'm just tired of having people expecting me to be accepting of a lifestyle or idea that I find unacceptable.
I've not attacked anyone, per se. Unless you consider me defending myself against attackers as an "attack."
Again, and I've stated, if you're homosexual, by all means be one. I'm not going to stop you. I'm not going to call you a "fa***t" or whatever as a means to insult you or degrade you. Why would I do such a thing? I just don't like the transgendered. Nothing against the person, just against the believe that they deserve to be accepted for being something they are not.
I'm not apologetic about it.
And as any man in the world has, I've thought about homosexuality and I find it repulsive. So, no I'm not a "closet case."

The matter is quite absurd, to be sure, but you, sir, are the source of this absurdity. It is completely asinine that you're to make such an issue over a guy who just wants to change his gender, and you're even more asinine to complain over him being discreet about it. Quit being a jackass for one minute, and try to put this issue into proper perspective.Quote:
2) The partner may want to have children. The transsexual in its all-selfish glory has denied this possibility.
Infertility is not uncommon, though. Again, some transsexuals prefer to preserve the anonymity of their former sex. Furthermore, future treatments may repair this problem.Quote:
3) I can never accept a dog who wants to be a cat. It can bark and bite all it wants to be accepted. In the end it is still a dog.
Christians can pray and attend church all they want to. In the end, they're not going to be brought back to life after their deaths, whether as zombies powered by glowing holy spirit or ectoplasmic beings that are somehow teleported to an alternate universe. It's a wholly ridiculous belief. It remains that I am expected to treat them with dignity and respect. It remains that it is rude for me to point out unnecessarily that their beliefs are complete and utter nonsense. In fact, I'm supposed to humor them when they say things like, "I'll pray for you!" and to be respectfully silent during their prayers. It's just a matter of social courtesy.Quote:
4) Not at all. I don't purposely amuse myself by having confrontations with others, that isn't my lifestyle. I cannot accept what is wrong. That is it. If my father murdered a man, he will cease from being my father. If my brother raped a woman, he will no longer be my brother. A man who wants to be a woman, will never be. I cannot accept it.
Now you're comparing it to murder? Good GOD, man!! You sound like those hardcore Dems who think that all Republicans adore Adolf Hitler!! ! Wake up, you freaking loony!!Quote:
7) We are not living in the '60's.
Precisely! This is the Twenty-first Century, and most of the Western world and MOST of the American population has made enough social progress that most people won't bother you if you insist that you're a werewolf as long as you don't go out howling at the full moon while everyone is asleep! You can get away with things these days that people wouldn't have even DREAMED of in the '60s. It's great, man. All you really have to do is respect people's personal boundaries.1) If by a proper perspective would imply acceptance, then no.
2) Further treatments may repair the fact that a man does not give birth? They deserve anonymity even against the person they presumably love? I truly cannot support this.
3) You don't have to say "I'll pray for you" just as you don't have to accept their Christmas gifts, or whatever if it's contradicting to your beliefs. Where's the social courtesy in that? I'm not advising you to sing Hallelujah. Why would I? How can anyone force you to do that which you cannot accept? I'm having a hard time being convinced here.
4) I was "afraid" you would come to such conclusions. It was an example of how hardline i am when it comes to certain things. Nothing more.
5) See. I'm not going to accept a person who insists on being a werewolf. I would consider him crazy and leave him be.
Also, if by respecting people's boundaries you mean letting people do whatever they want, then I am against that too. I am much in favor of structure and rules, than to accept such "liberties" to engulf the people.

I'm not paranoid but WTF does that last statement mean. Plus I said I respect your opinion but is it necessary to contradict your later statement with the word hate. Isn't there a better way of putting that? For instance I dislike these group of people because the majority of them do this. I mean what if I said I hated blacks, gimps, single mothers or guess what? aspies doesn't that advocate hate and in turn beget more hate? Also, where are the reasons behind your statements?
As a straight female, I just cannot understand why gays and lesbians are not allowed to marry. Even though I believe marriage to be sacred, many people don't view marriages as sacred or religious anymore. BTW, this isn't an all Christian country these days. There are many people of faiths that marry. So I really don't know why Fundemental Christians get the upper hand in marriages when it pertains to this topic. We're a state divided by church.
BTW, nice try with the Hitler statement, he also killed people who were homosexual, doctors, radicals, and anyone who was Polish. The list can go on and I said there are many leaders just like him around the world who put people to death because of their religion, political beliefs, and the list can go on that one too.

That quote of mine was meant for effect. It worked. Try to understand that. Do I want ALL to suffer such things? No, but the ones that I read of in the news, that withhold their identity, that feel they need to prove something or force acceptance: Yes. No sympathy will be given by me. The news reported of a teenager who insisted on wearing women's clothings to school. Was disciplined by the school and decided to fight the Board. Why couldn't he just dress normally for school and dress whatever way at home?
If you hate blacks, that is your opinion. As long as you are not out trying to injure any black men, trying to keep them from buying materials to sustain a living or preventing them from work, why should I truly care? That is between you and your judgment/morality. Would I think you're wrong? Yes, you'd me truly wrong. But in the end you wont be affecting me. It wont affect blacks in high positions, or whatever. I don't hate any kind of people. In the same token, I don't love any kind of people.
Why should they be allowed to marry? If anything the government should do more to help them if they indeed are serious about a monogamous relationship, but the idea of marriage, why? Government could cede a bit to allow unions but many gays want marriages, they want marriages in Church, temples, etc. Why should this be allowed? Religious organizations has as a whole been anti-homosexual. That is, they might accept you for being gay, but wont accept you for participating in homosexual acts; the idea of marriage is foreign and not even contemplated. It is not only the Christians who are against Homosexual Marriage. Ask Muslims if they would be accepting. Ask Hindus or Sikhs if they would be accepting. Ask Jews if they would be accepting.
Now now, what does Hitler have to do with me? Am I advocating slaughtering people? Am I advocating killing people who think different than me? I don't think I am. I don't need people to agree with me. Why would I want a following?

You're not a racist? I never accused you of such. Frankly, I find the whole idea of racism silly.
Where have I hated?

Maybe it was this but even if I was, it would be obvious hatred to a group of ppl and ppl in their right mind would react. That is what we call discrimination. Anyway, "religion" is manmade. Notice in most of the texts, they're mostly men, now how realistic that is. Makes me wonder.

Mostly men? Do you mean the characters? Well, it's a Man's world.
Also, people in their right minds would debate.

Not presently, but it is logistically possible.Quote:

...even though the guy just wants to live a normal life, as a male. That's your problem, man. You can't accept the idea of another guy living his life in peace, working a steady job, possibly even raising a family, completely based upon the fact that he used to be a woman. Let's get this completely straight, now: there is nothing else in the least peculiar about this man. He warned his partner before they even got together that he was effectively impotent, so no surprises there. He doesn't do ANYTHING out of the way. He's got a good personality, and he's well liked by his coworkers. Let's say he's working twelve hour shifts to put his wife through med school. He's living a pretty good life. Now, being perfectly frank with me, are you sure that you want to mess this up, all in the name of your opinions? Are you really that self-serving, sir?Quote:
3) You don't have to say "I'll pray for you"
I don't. Christians say it to me all the time, though. It would very rude for me to reply to it with, "Oh, please don't do that. I'm an atheist, and I don't believe in those things!" It's just a fact. I'm speaking from experience here. It's not considered a socially acceptable way to react to a well intentioned gesture. On the same premise, it would be rude for you to continuously point out to a male-to-female transsexual that she used to be a guy, particularly if you knew for a fact that it was destructive to this person's mental health.Quote:
4) I was "afraid" you would come to such conclusions. It was an example of how hardline i am when it comes to certain things. Nothing more.
Hardline, my eye. You started out with declaring that transsexuals should be thrown in jail, and now you're hard-pressed to defend calling a transsexual by his or her original gender. You have shifted on this issue, and you are quite rapidly losing this argument.Quote:
5) See. I'm not going to accept a person who insists on being a werewolf. I would consider him crazy and leave him be.
EXACTLY!! That's what the transsexuals, gays, and everyone else in the book have been demanding for the past fifty years, man! Just leave 'em be. It's not hard!Quote:
Also, if by respecting people's boundaries you mean letting people do whatever they want, then I am against that too.
Too bad! You're going to leave others to live their lives.Quote:

There IS a structure, though, and there ARE rules. They are designed to make it easier for us to coexist in peace.

1) Such an event would be abhorrent.
2) Do you not consider the emotions of the partner? You're like the liberal doctors and lawyers who don't want to disclose the fact that a daughter is pregnant at 13-17 to her parents. I don't see how such an act is acceptable.
3) It would be rude for the transsexual to not disclose his natural sexuality before entering into a relationship with an unsuspecting partner.
4) Read up a couple of posts. Eight posts exactly, if I counted right. I don't see how I am losing any argument being that my opinions have not changed even before such a topic was logged in. Also, in order to humor you a bit, some transsexuals do deserve to be in jail. Especially the ones who go about manipulating people.
5) I find it impossible to leave a person be who insists on being known.
6) In a society, no one is actually left alone.
7) I'm sure there are Americans that would love a pederasty culture. Should we accommodate them?

You know that nazis really adored Nietzsche, right?
And on top of it, he was a misogynist, and probably a closet homosexual.
Just thought i'd bring that to light.
Thanks! I'm also aware of the fact that it was Nietzsche's anti-semitic sister who distorted much of his material to be acceptable to the belief of an Aryan ideal and works that inspired the Nazis. I'm also aware of the fact that Nietzsche disapproved of his sister's beliefs and husband.
What makes you think he was a homosexual? The fact that he didn't marry? In either case, how would being gay discredit him of anything? I like Queen. Freddy Mercury was a homosexual, yet I listen to his music. It doesn't make him a bad person, but it wouldn't convince me to support gay marriage.
