Should we bring back "witch burning"?

I don't know but based on my observation I believe Ragtime , parakeet and oscuria are the ones still live in the 'witch burning' age.
Well said, for a person living in Lebanon.
You see me inferior because I live in Lebanon,eh?
Well, retardation* among educated people is about individuals and not about where they live.

It's people like you who hate and list the violent acts you'd like to do to people that I thought of when I made this thread. And you even validated it by voting in the affirmative.

I'm honored! That's the kind of respect I love from people like you. Jesus was called a liar and manipulator-of-people as well. It was a badge of honor that the wicked hated him so. So, thank you, sir.
well Ragtime, I believe most people just laugh at your posts, becuase they must feel that debating with you is kinda like debating with a child, in a matter of speaking, and well, I can't say for certain the real reason you made the thread, I can asume that it is some sort of a rant, just as parakeet made a thread in the WP.net forum making complains, so I think this could be something like that.
well, I personally wouldn't think of a liar or manipulator, as those would be the ones who really know they are not being truthful, while you seem to manipulate some things to make it go according to your views, misinterpreation of things, etc. but just someone who denies something that doesn't fit with his emotional views about things when debating issues on the forum, and yeah, there are some people who are like that as well. So maybe delusional would fit better, than the rest. Now, you have the admit that you don't give so much fairness to discussions, I mean, generalizations about liberals? a part of what it seems to be your idea of what a liberal is, are there only two groups? either you are a conservative or else, you are automatically a liberal? and other stuff, you are shoving into people's throats something that you keep calling The truth, which have fallacies.
But, your behaviour is better than other people here that are against your views, and that is a good thing, I even think you do better than parakeet in behaviour, but he sometimes comes up with better arguments than yours, in my view, I could be mistaken though.

That is what I'm saying, most things you come up with are completely biased and incorrect in many ways, and well, with that quote, I can say that you consider yourself to be persecuted, even though you didn't use that word, for the cause of God, therefore you must think you are doing a proper job as a Christian, because of that.
But, consider this, this is biased, pointing to just one direction, not accepting one bit of intelligent discussions are made in threads and without questioning yourself even in a small scale, or the validity of your posts, I am not talking about your religion beliefs, but mostly about the logical values of arguments, and what make sense and what does give fairness. And I admit, some of my posts, I don't know, maybe most, contain fallacies, several perhaps, I admit my ignorance in some subjects, and I'm pretty sure that I have made mistakes because of my ignorance, but I hope I can learn, we are humans.
Don't forget that you have accused the "liberals" of the same things QM was accusing you.

I do not carry through with these threats, and in any case, you and iamnotaparakeet do not seem to have respect for other human beings, well, you, anyway.
You always deflect the issue by turning it back on your accusers. That is absolute failure to take responsibility for your own actions and words.

But you, sir, are nothing like Jesus Christ. In my opinion, Jesus had some words put in his mouth by later gospel writers. And if I had to compare the two of you, then you would certainly come off second-best, even without his godhood.
To paraphrase Huxley, I think that if reality and your brain ever came into contact, the result would be fatal.

Inferior? I have no feelings of inferiority or superiority.
You living in Beirut should give you first hand experience on witch hunts, right? Being that Hizbullah is just right around the corner.

It's an opinion, not an assertion. You don't need to prove opinions.
I hope you know that it's stuff like this that makes people want to put you in the comfy chair

It's a pretty big charge there you know, accusing religious men of falsifying the words of their masters. They were not like you and me. They were men who lived under the belief that you shouldn't add to the Word.
"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."
"If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

edit: I'm going to assume you mean adding or editing scripture:
"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:2
"...if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ." Galatians 1:9-10
"For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted,
you may well put up with it!" 2 Corinthians 11:4 [I.e. don't tolerate heresy]
"Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it." Deuteronomy 12:32
"Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5-6
"If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19

you just cited the sources in the bible. prove to me that it'll happen. hey, just try to prove to me there is a god. it's much easier for quartermass to support his opinion with substantial proof than you can. (which was my point)

Speculation, but Paul was apparently something of a misogynist. And we have about as much proof of Jesus being the Son of God as we have of Julius Caesar saying "Et tu, Brute". In other words, the words of people who weren't around him during his lifetime.

Why would i prove to you anything which you must prove to yourself?
To say something is added on that which shall not be is an arrogant way of looking at scripture which as a whole has remain intact. Do you not believe that a person would have noticed an error in scripture? There would have been Gospel of ___ vi, Gospel vii, the True Gospel I, the True True Gospel vI e.6. These are not men like you and I who were out on an agenda. They did not need money from people. An ascetic does not need your sympathy. How can one actually question their integrity?
Scripture is nothing like a book you pick up at a library. It was not used freely by idiots who felt the need to prove things to people other than to give strengths to their beliefs. It has remained unchanged. You and others don't understand this because today you don't have to remember scripture word for word which was the case back then. Instead you access a book, but that was never the case with religion.

but Paul never wrote the gospels.
I keep hearing the "They weren't around in his time, so how do they know?" argument.
Religion is an oral tradition. It has always been an oral tradition. It will always remain an oral tradition.

not to mention the earliest book of the new testament was written in 90AD. kinda past the point of when such people would be around to ensure original context if such events did actually happen as described in the books.
