Even though I'm agnostic (leaning more on the atheist side) assuming Jesus did exist for the sake of this argument, I think he would've been below average in the looks department or at very least plain. I mean, I don't think God would want anyone lusting after his son you know? o_0 Just a thought.

You raise an interesting point, but from what the BIble tells us, only Mary Magdalene could have been a possible ladyfriend of Jesus. But were Jesus and Mary Magdelene romantically involved? People argue about this.

Whom the whole world counts his age! What happened around 2008 years ago?

Does anyone know what "year 1" was numbered by the precedent Roman Empire?
Surely they didn't count backwards in the BC age.

What about the Shroud of Turin?

Shroud of Turin is thought to be a fake, that radio carbon dating
estimates it was made in the middle ages, 1300 years after Christ

That carbon dating has long been refuted as being inaccurate due to the fact that the shroud was nearly burned to a crisp in a house fire. The house fire took place around 1200 AD which is the time that carbon dating sets it to. If you look at the photo of the shroud, you can see the burned marks around the corners where it was folded.

Many paintings of Jesus are based on the image on the shroud.

Therefore what he looks like depends on the director/designer/illustrator, or on your imagination like when you read a book.

.

No one, not even knowledgeable atheists claim that Jesus was a fictional character. What is disputed is whether or not He is a deity. There is simply too much credible historical evidence in the form of ancient writings - not including the Bible - that tell of His existence.

Agnostics, which means "Ignorant", can claim anything they want to. Atheists tend to be more scientific.

Noone? Are you sure of that?

http://jesusneverexisted.com/

http://jesuspuzzle.humanists.net/home.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jesus_Mysteries

And many other sites/articles/books, including a recent study, ( by a reputable religious scholar whose name I have forgotten) , which argues convincingly that the New Testament was a form of traditional religious "meditation"/analysis/expression in jewish religion, midrash, of creating a story to illustrate the fundamental principles of a religious faith, old or new/syncretic.

If you bother to read what there is on the subject you will discover that there is no hard evidence for the existence of Jesus, and plenty to show that the character of jesus was invented, based on many already existing myths.

And the books by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy, aswell as of Doherty, make it clear it is not necessary to be atheist either to question the historical existence of jesus.

No, it's a little late to debunk the Christian religion now, in AD 2008. You should have started during the original ministry of the apostles back in the 1st century.

And your websites are obviously garbage.

I don't think that you can have read more than a couple of sentences of each, otherwise it is perhaps faith which blinds you.

Try these two, nothing "garbage-like" about these either;

http://jmm.aaa.net.au/articles/9518.htm

is an excerpt from the book " Liberating Jesus from the Gospels; Freeing Jesus from 2000 Years of Misunderstanding", by John Shelby Spong, who is a practising and convinced Christian.

and:

http://www.robertmprice.mindvendor.com/art_midrash1.htm

on the subject of the New Testament as midrashic construction.

Both well suppported, with many references in the text to other respected scholars.

How can John Shelby Spong be a Christian doctor if he doesn't believe in Christ? This is why all your names and references are meaningless.

You can cram it all up your ass.

Do you understand me?

It is not necessary to believe in a historical Christ to believe in Christ as one version/expression of a meaningful spiritual archetype, as present in many ancient mythologies.
